No sophistication, no plan behind anything and every fight is a battle no matter how poor the opposition is. Club should move on from his as fast as humanly possible. Brawlers are usually entertaining.... We're a backfoot boxer with a glass chin, applying no pressure and just waiting to get knocked out

January 6, 20242 yr Just as an aside there's a great fountain/statue at Deepdale depicting a Preston legend Tom Finney at a waterlogged Stamford Bridge.
January 6, 20242 yr Palmer turns up at CF ... WHERE THE f**k WAS BROJA IN THAT MOVE ??? 20 yards behind the play as usual ...

January 6, 20242 yr Why can't we play any ball into the box ? So much pissing around outside the area ....

Yet at Chelsea, we expect him to run at players and beat them with flicks and tricks that he is good at. There are way too many coaches in the game that are not playing players to their strengths, and they all seem to end up at Chelsea. I’m with you, but they can’t all be bad players. I’m less than thrilled with Poch - we’re 8 months into his tenure and I don’t know what his style is. Nothing is progressing. my biggest concern is how little he gets out of Caceido and Enzo, especially given their former success or effect at international level. It’s just so flat - they should be dominating this game.

January 6, 20242 yr It should never be the case that Disasi is the one who takes the shot ... good on him for having a crack though.

January 6, 20242 yr Once agin Caicedo looking like a competition winner. He really is comically bad for us.

Unless we see a coach that removes this sh*te slow build up play from the club, then I am not interested in backing them. Our wingers are players that love to run behind defenders, but all of them are picking it up 20 yards from the oppositions box and are expected to run past 3 players like they are Eden Hazard. Our cm's are moving the ball way too slow and playing way too safe. We just don't hit teams fast enough. Everything we do is so predictable. Apart from the odd dinked ball by Enzo, it's all so easy to play against. I have a question, were any of these players signed from clubs that played slow possession based football? Sterling and Palmer were, but it's widely acknowledged that Sterling's best football was when he and Sane were playing together in 1v1 situations and running in behind the defenders at City. So why are we persisting with a brand of football that almost all of our players are not suited to? Just f**king ditch it, why is every coach doing this same thing? You don't have players that can play this way and it's the most boring and sleep inducing football in the game. We've been doing it for years now...buy players with speed who want the ball in front of them to run onto and we play the ball behind them, saw it with Torres, Salah, Morata, Werner, Mudryk and anyone else you care to mention. It's sideways, backwards, walking paced football for the most part, easy to play against and with predictable outcomes. And I'm beginning to wonder with Potch whether or not he's got any balls to lay into this lot ....or will they get a certificate for showing up.
