They made a decision based on one cup final, we're talking about the last 32 league games of a 38 games season. Amorim is doing well anyway, big upgrade.

It's funny because I've just looked at the standings for those games and we were only two points above Villa which is quire ironic given your reaction to me "bragging" about being 6 ahead of them right now....

If Amorims doing that much then I guess you agree we sometimes have to look deeper than the top line? Same applies to those 32 games, where in them i could name some of the worst tactical performances I've ever seen from Chelsea managers.

Why is that funny? Villa made top 4. The added pressure of CL football and they're not doing as well this season. This isn't exactly ground breaking news.

Yeah the tactical performances under Maresca are far better. I much prefer watching us pass it around the back for 80 minutes or try to play a man to man high line against the worst City team in a decade.

Compared to the game at Anfield where we were lucky to not ship 8/9, going to Old Trafford and getting battered despite Hojund and Anthony acting as extra defenders for us, our worst ever defeat to Arsenal, parking the bus unsuccessfully at Brammal Lane, holding on for grim death at Luton after being 3 up, getting slapped up at home to Wolves or blowing a 2 goal lead to United at home which we were meekly accepting until Ten Hags stupidity.

And if we're going to pretend we have to pick one or the other I'd much prefer "passing it around the back" than seeing Gilchrist on the wing, Mudryk at LCB and Disasi having to cover an island. If you don't believe me, check out our passing network against Arsenal.

And before you ask, no Maresca hasn't been good enough since Christmas, but that doesn't make Poch better just like Poch didn't make Lampard better, two things can be true.

It's good for a manager to be firm and stubborn, but it has to pay off. Mareca in this case has to adapt, he has to utilise his players more, he has to make more subs, he has to change certain ways of how we play like using our fullbacks to push up more.

If he keeps being stubborn and playing the same way he's going to get sacked, it will be inevitable. I'm hoping the Wolves game taught him a lesson for the coming games.

Pochettino and Lampard were the opposite, they switched things up too much. As much as I don't rate the guy I do respect what he's trying to do, but it's a results business and we can't afford more bad patches.

Ancelotti was one of the best that we had, his sacking still pisses me off. Regardless whether he would even consider a return: would he be the right man in the right place? In the mess that is our football club (and I use the word football loosely, when it's actually after school daycare)?

I don't want ance back, it will ruin his legacy with us.

Last season we had manager who prefer somewhat loose structure and you heard fans complained left and right about coaching.

Now imagine if we hire manager who play a looser structure.

I think he'd be perfect. This team would massively benefit from an experienced winner in charge, so far we've given them 2 inexperienced at the top level managers with Potter and Maresca then a man who's barely won a raffle with Poch

Me too. This is the kind of young, imbalanced squad that he has proven to win with. Ancelotti has coached the most Ballon D'or winners (four - Shevchenko, Kaka, Ronaldo and Benzema) as well as being instrumental in the blossoming of players like Zidane, Modric and Pirlo. He consistently wins things with young players.

The one blemish on his record is his league title count. Just 1 with Milan, failed second seasons with world-class Bayern and PSG teams in a one-team league, and arguably underperforming with Real Madrid given the state of La Liga.

The one time he looked better in the league than in cup competition is, ironically, with Chelsea, where he was almost certainly sacked because we had our pants pulled down twice in Europe.

More twaddle

By shipping Felix out, where is this defensive balance he talks of. Been playing two keepers on the bench and insisting that Sanchez plays. Where are these defenders coming from to offset Felix's departure? We only signed a midfielder who, if he plays at all, will just stifle Rak-Sakhy's opportunity of breaking through. Cretin.

End of the day In my opinion this / our club  has been royally f**ked by this administration. From appointing managers, coaches, recruitment, manager? Players, ethics, contracts, the stadium, the fans, and anything else I can’t be bothered to write about. For f**ks sake this is the worst time in our history. Money grabbing c**ts. Try and tell me I’m wrong. Rant isn’t over because it just gets f**king worse.

Yeah I am truly astounded that some long term members on here still so heavily back this ownership, despite all we have seen on the pitch, and what has been said and done off it.

No Anselmino.

Not registered for Premier League also. 3-4 months of training work experience I suppose…

Does he need registered for the premier league, I thought under 21`s dont count on the numbers?

Last I read he doesn't have enough points to earn a UK work permit.

Surprised we've brought him here if that's the case.

Hmm, wasn't James also left out of our conference league squad?

I blame Maresca's downfall on this, it all went wrong from here

It actually started going wrong when our injury list started creeping up.

Very minimal absences for the first 16 games, and then it's gone to between 4 and 6 players out thereafter, coinciding with our slump in form.

Still nothing compared to what it was like in the two previous seasons of course 🙂

Don’t see the plan.. piss around the back and then pass to your ringers who have to take on two players.. doesn’t help that we have no striker at the club .. will be a long second half..
