Goes back as far as Sarri's days. I don't understand it, the team has changed a few times since then.

Imo this chart is more about playstyle. 

Spud is insane and not a surprise vdv hamstring popped. 

Most of the big team will sprint less in possesion because they have to be more patient vs lower block. City case is extreme but normal for City. 

Defensively, it is a choice. We are not a pressing team so we sprint less and I personally have no problem with it.

Tbf back then every manager who tried to implement some kind of pressing system give up quickly because noone was able to convince Hazard. 

Christ even when I agree with Bob he still disagrees. 

Take it with a pinch of salt but this does align with what I see on the pitch now. We have gone from fast in and out of possession to slow and lethargic.

Given who come off the "best" in that particular chart I'm not sure that's specifically a bad thing.

How did we lose to this city side.. hence Maresca’s tactics were so poor .. he showed his lack of experience by playing such a high line.. cost us the game .. too eager to make a point.

So with 24 hours to go, it really does look like we won’t be signing anyone and we will just be weakening our own squad.

 And once again, we paid them too much respect. Or maybe the players just got exhausted but baring in mind City had less rest than us, that cannot be used as an excuse. We should of been pressing them relentlessly.

We gave them easy goals .. for the equaliser it was fckin madueke who played them onside .. in what kinda set up is madueke or last man  while defending.. the less said about the second better.. a hopeless ball and we trying to play a shot stopper as a sweeper keeper who didn’t know weather to come or stay back and in the end he did nothing.. but again it was a simple ball over the top.. the less said anout the third the better .. 

That result today after ours against City last week, really does hit home how bad we are right now, and that has to be down to Maresca and his tactics.

f**king depressing. Just like us last week, Arsenal looked the better side early on and just like last week, City draw level. But that's where the similarity ends 'cos Arsenal don't capitulate like we do but go for the jugular and destroy a pretty average City side.

All the results went exactly the way we'd hope for. We're given another crack at top 4. Tomorrow is a must win.

I think it’s slowly changing where top teams are starting to go direct more and lesser teams want to play like Pep and die on that hill. A perfect example of that is Russell Martin.

Well we are trying to but have failed, it has taken all month just to get the Casadei sale done.

I suppose the owners got some money back after a sale and loan deals, not a bad window if you ask them 😄. I reckon slow build up and play it out from the GK will be a thing of the past soon. Passing the ball like a grenade in own half for the sake of keeping possession and by-passing the press just doesn't make much sense, unless you have 5 Pirlos or Xavi in the backline.

If the keeper doesn't have a brain, it's suicide.

If the keeper does have a brain he then needs to decide when it's a good option and when it's not and have the technical ability with his feet to make a good pass etc.

Chelsea problem, 1 of them, Manager sitting on bench has already made the decision for the GK and the rest of the team - Opposition love it because 9/10 they know exactly what Chelsea are going to do. Opposition also know Sanchez is going to f**k up it at least once during the game and give them a goal!

So I agree - for Chelsea it should be a no-brainer.

I would be interested to see what correlation (if any) a club's position on this chart has with the number of muscle injuries suffered by their players. 

Also percentage of time sprinting while in possession is surely just a corollary of how each team moves the ball? (Essentially 'what percentage of your time in possession do you spend counter-attacking?')

Sometimes choas ball can be entertaining, other times it isn't.

I found pre lockdown Lampard ball entertaining, didn't (for the most part) find what Poch was serving up entertaining in the slightest.
