Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*

Featured Replies

The clown owners gave him a 5 year contract. So will be a hefty payout if and when they decide to part ways. And then we will have the issue that no decent managers will want to work under this model. That is why the likes of Nagelsmann and Enrique turned us down before. We'd end up getting another 'project' manager. Repeat and rinse.

The "environment" starts by not going two goals down in the first half at home to a relegated side. The "environment" he talks is about instilling a winning mentality, to fight for every 50-50 and to go direct, or diagonal when the pass is available or through the lines quickly to tranistion from defence to attack. The environment want him gone now, pretty sure the players do as well. Someone put WD40 on the manager revolving door so it doesnt squeak when this man walks through it.

From being in the title race to not qualifying for Europe. That's as spurs as you get... Theyll have a vacancy in the summer, get you agent to engineer a move there and go, go now.

It's so cowardly as well. We all know what he meant by environment, so just say it. Say it was the fans, and we'll tell you why we boo.

Your style of football is trash, nobody likes it. You're a massive bullsh*t artist and have been talking sh*te since day 1. You try and cover your mistakes with excuses, like saying Jackson was injured, when the rot started with Jackson in the team. Or how about when you said that Chalobah wasn't good enough for Chelsea and then came crawling back when need to cover for injuries? How about when you said Sanchez was number 1 on day 1, without even seeing him? Saying Chilwell wasn't good enough for your sh*tty system, but you insist on playing Gusto in that same system when he is a similar style of player to Chilwell. Saying Chukwuemeka wasn't ready yet, without properly accessing him and saying he needed to go out on loan? Why didn't you say anything about the January transfer market when we desperately needed to strengthen and allowed the club to weaken the squad by selling and loaning players out? Why did you change the way we play so drastically and settle on this miserable football when you were mixing it up so well in the first few months? How the f**k did you turn a group of young players who were in a good place to nothing but players who look afraid to play football?

This is why the fans boo, you've done this to yourself.

It's the fans fault that the team playing such slow it around at the back between defenders for minutes at a time. The fans fault he plays his dream striker who he wants to clone, who hasn't scored a goal in 2025 and is the worst player I have seen play for us in over 30 yrs. The fans fault that he plays the worst keeper in the premier league.

Jackson being as useful as Enzo Maresca's hairdryer, Palmer being stuck in no man's land, Neto putting in his worst performance in a Chelsea shirt, a CB being put at RB, our best crosser (James) given 0 minutes when we needed a win and the most boring football I've seen in my 28 years as a fan, but yeah it's the environment that's making us crap.

You reap what you sow.

94 mins played out of 95, Newcastle 4-1 up against Man Utd and Tonali is making a lung busting run, high pressing, real pressing, the Man U defence, winning the ball and starting an attack. 94 mins, 4-1 up. No toxicity there, no environment for the players to worry about.

Maresca said, when at Leicester and repeated here, if people didn't like his style, if he was asked to change, he'd leave the next. Well read the room, you c*nt, and just go. Ffs.

Not saying Maresca's blameless but not being able to convert 34 shots into a win is kind of on the players

Who have we actually signed that has a proven record of scoring goals, except for an injury-ruined Nkunku?

We have signed anyone in any department that is a proven anything. That is the problem.

We've seen this before. We're taking shots from positions that dont lead to goals? Lamps said he had to coach it out of them, Poch said much the same. We're now back to pass for the sake of passing and shooting from areas less likely to score. cant think of the last goal that came from a ball through the defence striker running on etc.

How long does it take the clowns owning our club that Maresca is a fraud? The coaching abilities of a dad running an under 11 team.

He's safe until after the club world cup at the earliest.

I am afraid no manager is going to drastically improve the results as long as the squad is not balanced with a few experienced players.

Cucurella and James are some fine full backs and proven on the big scene.

Colwill is a future top defender, but needs an experienced partner next to him ASAP. Jonathan Tah is available on a free in a couple of months, but will the sporting directors even look at him because of his age? 29 years old seems to be the new 40 years old for our board...

Enzo and Caicedo are good enough for the pivot. Santos and Lavia in the mix, too. Palmer is perfect for the no. 10 role.

But the rest are not good enough. We need a couple of proven wingers that contribute on the scoresheet, as well and a top, goalscoring striker up front.

If two top wingers are unnatainable, let's switch to 4-3-3 with Enzo, Caicedo and Santos in the middle, move Palmer in his natural position on the right wing and buy a top left winger in the mould of Leao maybe? And a goalscoring striker.

Petrovic

James Tah Colwill Cucurella

Caicedo

Santos Enzo

Palmer new CF new LW

If we go the same route of buying young ones like Delap or Guehi then nothing will chance and we will lurk around mid table and 6th place for years to come...

So said hypothetical manager won’t even have a preseason? No he needs to go at end of the season.

I doubt he will as long as he goes along with the wishes of owners/SD's.

Guehi would be classed as an experienced player at this stage, and his price would reflect that.

I'd like to see Santos brought back to the squad, but I don't think we can rely on Lavia (or Fofana for that matter) at this point.

Isn't it about time that we started making our feelings clear about Maresca during games. OK, it doesn't help the team but this joke of a coach should be aware that he should go.

It must have something to do with his strange way managing a team that so many of the young and hopeful players regress since the start of this year.

Meanwhile I got sick of his inverse full backs, of his goalkeepers and most of all of his style of playing and his control mania.

I would sack him asap, as interim coach I suggest Rob Edwards. We need passion and energy and a way of playing like for example Newcastle United.

We signed Maresca, he's proven something to me.

That we were all right about him (well maybe all of us excluding Evissy)

I think we stick with him in to next season. The priority is the money from the CwC. Maybe they are foolish enough to think he can take us far in it

Maresca took that personally

Lol perhaps he did. Maybe he agrees with those who call us a manufacturered club who should be grateful we did not get sanctioned out of existence.

Regardless of the league finish, Maresca needs to go. Without this sides Poch hangover where we balled our way to wins, we'd be relegation fodder.

We're not quite that bad, but certainly a huge difference between the first 16 games, with the team still playing the exciting chaos ball, vs the next 16 games once Maresca has them playing how he wants ...

image.png

20 points from the last 16 games would extrapolate to about 48 points across a full season. We'd be about 12th to 14th or so. Basically where Man United and Spurs are.

Not relegation levels, but absolutely horrific for a club that has paid out £1.2 billion of transfer fees for players in the last 3 years ...

It would be worse.

Spurs famously came 3rd in a 2 horse race, but they still qualified for the Champions League.

We look like we are going to go from a strong 2nd to bombing out of Europe completely unless we win the Conference League ...

We sack Maresca what happens to the useless Board members who appointed him in the first place, and who failed to sign a decent striker, and lumbered us with Felix, Veiga, Tosin and KDH instead? Do they get to keep their cushy jobs when in any other business they’d be sacked for incompetence?
