I don't think there was ever a manager I wanted gone as much as this clown. Even during the Potter's regime, there were some times where we could string a performance or two but after tonight, this guy needs to be sent back to Cremonese or Parma and let him learn there. How is that armchair analysts like ourselves could see this guy is inept and does not have the ability to take us forward but the management who get paid millions to run the club and recently got extended for a few years, decided to open the check book for this guy and trust him to bring silverware. It's just baffling. He is sucking the joy of watching our team play and as we speak, he brings in Tyrique George and Malo f**king Gusto, dear Lord.

He can’t legislate for Sanchez’s moment of absolute stupidity, but the game management since then is perhaps the worse I have ever seen.

Sack him. He’s inept.

He plays center backs at right back. Right backs at left back and center mid. Center mid on inside left. Wingers as striker. Youth players that they had sold and fell thru ahead of £100M of signed talent. You couldn’t make it up.

Because they don't watch football, they look at sh*tty data.

We should be right up there with this squad now so there's no excuse for Maresca. Never rated him, not good enough for us.

Only possible explanation for the subs is that he's sending a message to the board that he doesn't rate the forwards they brought in.

Either way it's an unforgivable performance by him.

Once again, the result was not the most upsetting thing given the circumstances (red card and previous results at Old trafford). It was the performance and this time, unlike Bayern game, it was the performance from the manager directly.

Those are the worse subs I have seen in a long, long time. Unacceptable game management.

I think it’s going to take protests to get him out. I don’t trust that these owners will make a swift move on this, they will wait till our season has crumbled

Of course he needs to go. And go somewhere stupid enough to allow him to buy Enzo in January.

Sadly there does not appear to be any appetite from our owners to do it. Maybe hoodwinked by that farcical pre season trophy we won.

It's hard to think of more than about three managers in the Premier League who I'd rather not have ahead of Maresca (and we've already had one of them)

Agreed. For the record I don't think he was sending a message, just that it would be the only logical explanation.

That is the worse single game manager performance I can recall. Not just for Chelsea - for anyone. I’ve seen a series of decisions that are near impossible to explain from the position we were in.

Just saw a clip of him and one of his assistants frantically going through their sh*tty pieces of paper trying to figure out what to do when we went down to 10 men. Absolute amateur coaching, from the lot of them. Good coaches don't panic like that, they know off the top of their head how to react to a bad situation.

The relative success towards end of last season papered over some cracks but Maresca isn't good enough. We should go for Iraola or even Glasner while they are potentially available. That being said there are way more issues than just the manager. How do the SD's look at the squad this summer and sign 2 more wingers that we didn't need, while overlooking the obvious lack of a solid first choice keeper, an experienced center back, and another quality central midfielder given that Lavia is a sick note?
