Result didn't remotely surprise me. We are owned by a couple of championship manager players. 

I don't remotely care about pre season results but I do think we are a club with absolutely no strategy or clear direction.

Nope. Said so from the outset. 

On the bright side, felt we controlled the game better after we scored.

It's cool how we've gone from a coach who tried to let our players solve problems on their own to one who is an absolute zealot for exactly one way of playing which can completely nullified by sitting deep and counter attacking.

At least we're reaching the end of the "4 window plan" so will surely have a great season now.

If the pre-season continues as it's started I'll be really curious as to what the atmosphere is going to be like vs City on the opening home game of the season, especially as they appeared to roll over loyalty points from last season for it.

We tend not to suffer fools in the dugout at Stamford Bridge. A pasting against City after a crappy preseason could be a violent cocktail.

I started worrying about Chelsea when it started to become noticeable just how out of touch these owners are, which was long before Maresca arrived. I'm still amazed that there are Chelsea fans left that think these guys are doing right by the club.

Even if Maresca was the next Guardiola, he ain't going to get far with this squad because too many of them lack a football brain. Does anybody seriously believe this lot are built for possession based football? They can't read the game, they don't pass through the lines, they don't move well, they can't pass out of defence, they have no concentration on or off the ball. It's asking the impossible.

Thats what happened at Leicester at the end of last season. Teams worked out to beat Maresca's system. 

More than happy to give Fofana time to get match fit in the broader sense but Badiashile needs to be moved on tomorrow. He is a coach and team killer, just too mistake prone like really bad mistakes that destroy confidence in the defence. Panics under pressure and really nowhere near the standard required. Maybe it is just confidence but there have been far too many mistakes not just on this preseason but in the league last season.

I like Guiu...I don't know if you guys noticed but he kept running into shot then running past his defender expecting a pass but our def/midfield were to busy passing sidewards/backwards!

Apart from him, Nkunku was OK too...unfortunately that's it for me. Only those 2 would be starters based on those 2 games. With sanchez and those 2, I really hope my maths is sh*t and we have 8 great players returning on Monday!

Note to self:

It's only preseason, breathe momo...have faith and stock up on lots and lots of hard liquor.

Noooo....based on those 2 games, anything can happen in the actual proper games. I honestly doubt anyone will have the same predictions apart from it being a loss. Lol

Mate...whoever posted up "The disaster brothers" needs shedend membership for life. Best way to describe them.

Colwill and fofana as cb pairing with trev as backup. If they really care about the club and the disaster brothers don't improve then owners should take a hit and sell them both. Maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I don't see the potential in them either, if that's the excuse the owners use!

 

*Badiashile missed a sitter in the Wrexham match too...

This only true if you do it in season. In pre season, it doesn't take much time to implement new system.
