Absolutely trash and hasnt shown me anything in terms of hold up play and finishing and linking players, lack of football IQ too as mentioned

i dont wanna say this but id take jackson back over delap right now easily…

Jeez the criticism our players get from their own fans is crazy. How many of you wrote Cucurella off a couple seasons ago, or Caicedo for that matter?

He hasn't turned it on yet but there are flashes of what he is capable of. His managed to squeeze a good shot off from pretty much nothing last night, forcing raya into a save. I totally get that he deserves criticism - Totally stupid sending off against Wolves, underhit/overhit passes etc.

To call him absolute trash already is premature. Whatever happened to backing our players

I’m not going to criticise him just yet, I think he deserves more time. I’ve seen the way he played last season, especially the game against us, he was unplayable.

I think there is a lot more to come from Delap, we just need to be patient. Last night probably isn’t the best game to judge him, Arsenal have the best defence in league.

Yeah he was abit rubbish, I agree. He negatively effected the team, but give him a chance.

Say what you want about Jackson but he’s miles ahead of Delap in terms of technical abilities and bringing others into the game.

Nonsense.

I thought he worked hard on Sunday, looked lively and was always keen to get a shot off. Seems to be a good option off the bench. Might be a useful option against lesser opposition who defend deep. Weve got plenty of reinforcements on the way so all should be fine.

If I thought Jacko wouldn't be really pissed off about it, I think he would be a fantastic player to have in the squad and bring off the bench.

Wouldn't start him. But last 30 minutes sure.

For 2 years Jackson was complete sh*te and we gave him time to get better but he didn't. Delap has played 360 minutes for us this season with a 2 months injury in the middle of it.

He wasn't unplayable, we were just naive. Almost every team in the league dealt with Delap comfortably last season and it's because they realised he wasn't all that and he just loved to shove players around.

Double digit league goals in both campaigns, let’s see if Delap gets close to that.

If Delap get's anything like the playing time that Jackson was granted, I'm sure he will. AND he won't annoy Cole Palmer with constant f**k-ups!!

22/23 Jackson - G/A every 153 mins

23/24 Jackson - G/A every 133 mins

24/25 Delap - G/A every 360 mins

Its going to have to be one hell of an improvement to what we've seen so far.

But he's had little playing time - what do you expect?

Once they play, most players do exactly that - Improve (Jackson being one of the exceptions!)

I would expect him to be able to control a ball or make a 5 yard pass tbh.

I can only imagine the headloss from the forum if Jackson had acted like Delap has this season to date.

We’ve had to put up with Jackson for 2 seasons, Delap being able to tie his own laces is enough of an improvement.

Bookmarked and will return in May to reply to this.

You saying that with a straight face when Jackson has possibly one of the worst first touches I have ever seen in a No. 9?!!

Just go back and look at some of Cole Palmers reactions where Jackson is concerned.

His first touch was fine, his finishing was poor.

Was it f**k fine, it was atrocious, I've never seen a striker knock the ball so far ahead of himself so many times.

If we keep giving him proper playing time I'm sure he will.
