That's not on Maresca, it is on Fernandez ... just like it was last season ...

He did it to such an extent that I would be surprised if it wasn't instructions from the manager. Otherwise he'd have been hooked I reckon.

Don't think we can appeal second yellows.

Inadvertently though Veigas height against a Dyche set up may not be the worst thing in the world.

Indeed nothing we can do about it.

Doesn't matter either way, he's not going to win the appeal. He shoved him.

How long is he suspended for after that? He's already picked up one suspension for picking up 5 yellows this season. Is that a 2 game ban now?

Should be 1 game. He has not been sent off yet so just one game for a 2 yellows card red.

Look who was there. We could have done with him on the pitch!

I disagree. I love Thiago but the pace of the PL caught up with him (no shame at that age).

A prime version or even the 36 year old that joined on the other hand....

Losing Cucu is a blow for Everton but we deal with it at the time.

Could be Veiga. His height against them would in theory be useful.

Or it could be Lavia replaces him, Colwill is the LB/LCB, Tosin the CCB and Disasi or Gusto the RCB, with Caicedo inverting from RB and Lavia and Enzo ahead in midfield.

That is for another day. Let's enjoy finally beating Brentford at home!

Really need to cut out giving teams hope late on.

We won't always have a two goal buffer.

I agree Argo. I also think Jackson scoring right at the end will see Maresca double down on keeping him on the pitch no matter how terribly he is playing, and regardless of having a top class, natural finisher, sitting on the bench. At some point it is going to bite us on the arse.

I just don't think experienced managers would deliberately create a situation in which their team was overwhelmed in midfield, but perhaps I'm wrong ...

I think it is both on Enzo and Maresca, he can give players directions any time he wants. But i agree Enzo should've played deeper specially in the 2nd half, or Maresca could've put someone else as DM and keep Enzo high on the pitch.

Cucus red just shows how naive and nonchalant footballers are. They are so protected, especially contractually, that they just make silly mistakes.

I'm not sure. Final whistle has just gone, scored your first goal for the club and some that is in your face. With the blood pumping I can see it being hard not to have a bite back in these situations.  It's bloody frustrating for us watching but it's going to be completely different when you are in there.

I think there will be a lot more nail biting last 10-15 minutes to come, most prem games are not done and dusted by the 75th minute !!

We finally beat them at home and in a weekend where all our rivals dropped points, for me that was the best all round weekend for a couple of seasons.

I for one am a very happy Chels this evening.

Exactly, I honestly think we can’t win the league without getting better at this.

We still give away daft goals and keep conceding in the 90 plus minutes of added on time.

Tighten up these lapses in concentration and we could be in business.

A very good win once again. What do you guys think of our title chances?

Still got a ways to go before I am convinced we can be a serious threat. But the fact that we are talking about it at all shows how far we have come.

The league is really competitive right now, especially in that top 10.

Brilliant win against a good team. They were well” set up and I thought that they’d be going away with points again. But what a goal from Cucurella and the second have we dominated them. We wouldn’t be Chelsea if we’d not suffer in the last minutes of the game, what a stupid goal to concede that late in the game. When can we start closing down games and having an easy, relaxing finish? f**k me it was nervy towards the end, not sure if my heart will take it much longer.

I am fancying. Just need Fofana to return and play the whole season

Brilliant game, finally beat them at home again!

That red card and late goal is a big issue.

Lovely assist by Noni and Enzo

Good goal by Cucu and Jackson
