Genuine lack of top managers in top level football these days. It's not a special trait to have a style of football if it doesn't work, it's special to be able to adapt. Its the Guardiola effect. Every manager (both people who were apprentices to him and others) all want to play that style no matter what. There are very few managers around these days who adapt their tactics based on the opponent and the way the team are playing. The other half of the managers just park the bus and counter. There is zero diversity in tactics these days.
January 20, 20251 yr On the plus side, we were drawing 2-2 at half time in the reverse fixture and went on to flatten them in the second half.

January 20, 20251 yr That was really really disappointing but a long long way from surprising. Sanchez is beyond terrible. The rest not an awful lot better.

Our season has been a cluster of f**kups thrown into some good performances. If we can ‘move on’ the f**k ups we might actually get somewhere. If we had a better keeper there is at least 10 points we would have saved this season

January 20, 20251 yr At some point our coach will realise that our players aren’t technically adept enough to play out from the back under pressure thus giving their opponents the chance to apply pressure, add to this a keeper that has more than enough mistakes in him , a recipe for disaster conceding silly goals.
January 20, 20251 yr It’s actually eerie how consistent we are, get one up then collapse. Sanchez untouchable as everyone knows the sporting directors hired his mate from Brighton to be his goalkeeping coach and personal mascot.
January 20, 20251 yr Our home form really improved under Pochettino. Maresca seems to be on a mission to take us back to Potter days. Edited January 20, 20251 yr by Scott Harris

January 20, 20251 yr Just now, Andy2461 said: No subs. Not exactly a shock Not the 83rd minute, yet, nor are we down 2-1. Sit tight, have some patience.
January 20, 20251 yr Why does he have Palmer playing so far from goal ? He's the only one that can bloody shoot ffs
January 20, 20251 yr Seen enough of this hairless fools tactics, why do we have the ball landing to Cucurella in their box
January 20, 20251 yr They have sussed Maresca out. Shutting us down comfortably now. Predictable pattern emerging here.
