Football seems to have moved towards managers thinking they are box office, we've come to see them. It's embarrassing the state of them. Loads out there and it's looking like Maresca is potentially the same.
January 20, 20251 yr I’m a bit concerned so much of our tactics revolve around floating crosses towards Cucurella Edited January 20, 20251 yr by AndyDowsleftflank
January 20, 20251 yr Go 1-0 up then stop playing. Wait for opposition to equalize. Every single time. It's such a thing now that opposition know it, commentators know, we're the only ones who don't know it.

Genuine lack of top managers in top level football these days. It's not a special trait to have a style of football if it doesn't work, it's special to be able to adapt. Well in our heyday, Roman would normally hire coaches who have won big trophies. These days we target those who have won zero big trophies. Not to mention the lack of decent foresight when it comes to signings. £1 billion bottle jobs is kind of true. We have nothing to show for the money that has been spent.

January 20, 20251 yr MARESCA NEEDS A PLAN B, teams know to let the defenders have the ball and back off, they are all too scared to carry it and so pass it amongst themselves

January 20, 20251 yr Madueke and Neto need to be hauled off at half time. Jackson is lucky because the only alternative is Guiu.

January 20, 20251 yr 2 minutes ago, Nibs said: Sanchez is a f**king joke of a keeper. Another goal gifted. Jackson offering f**k all as usual. Neto and Madueke doing little. BUT will Maresca make early changes? No Chance. Same pattern every game. So predictable. We need a bit of magic from somewhere to turn this game around and salvage 3 points. That build up after the goal must be coming from the coach, very slow, and the minute 1 pass goes astray we are bang under pressure. Cucurella been guilt of some easy turnovers too.
January 20, 20251 yr Author Decent first half. Shame about letting one in so late on but I did expect Wolves to score. I still reckon we will come out and bang in a few goals in the second half. Concerned about Palmer being pushed when not fully fit though. Come on let's stay positive. "Oh Enzo Maresca, oh Enzo Maresca".

January 20, 20251 yr I wonder if Sanchez and Jackson have seats in the dressing room that are separate so no one can get at them

Feels that way with every signing we have made. Let's be real, who outside of Palmer has been an upgrade on what we had before? I've never seen so much money wasted in football in my life.
January 20, 20251 yr If Sanchez wasn’t such a liability that would have been a decent first half which we endured a bit of pressure at the end. Our season has been a cluster of f**kups thrown into some good performances. If we can ‘move on’ the f**k ups we might actually get somewhere.

January 20, 20251 yr Useless wingers and a lamp post as a center forward. Bar a set piece or a Palmer moment, where are the goals supposed to come from? Frustrating. Just move Cole on the right wing, bring Sancho on the left and Felix in the middle and watch the attack instantly click. How long Madueke thinks he is going to live off that Wolves hattrick????? Sorry, I forgot - Sanchez is pants Edited January 20, 20251 yr by petre ispirescu

Half the players are pussies and just jockey, closing space. The only players that can commit to a challenge and be strong enough to win a tackle are Caicedo and James. I thought Madueke was poor for his ability to lose a 70:30 ball but he's a gladiator compared to the chocolate teapot that is Neto who somehow can come off second best in a 90;10 challenge
