Newcastle United vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 11th May 12:00 GMT

Upsetting but expected. We are a mid-table team with a mix of mediocre and okish players under a wannabe manager. We have to accept it. In just over an hour there will be a proper football match in Spain if anyone wants to enjoy all elements of real football - passion, skills, wit, style, desire - something that we have not seen in our club for many years now.

No different from Terry, seem to remember him getting sent off in a CL semi for not controlling himself. I think its natural when you care.

So you agree. Colwill is easy to wind up. He's in an unnecessary, unproductive spat about every other match.

Why will Villa win at United last game? Man Utd will have played their cup final and wont want to lose at home again

Because they have lost 16 games this season and are utterly abysmal. It doesn't matter how much they won't want to lose at home again, they're not good enough to stop it from happening.

you seriously think our best chance to qualify for CL was to beat Newcastle at their home ground, who have a notoriously good home record, and an especially good record against us in recent years?

I didn't think we'd beat Newcastle before the match, but with City slipping up it was our one chance to cement ourselves in the top 5.

Now there's no room for error and we're relying on Forest and Villa to slip up.

Drogba got sent off in the Champions' League Final for trying to slap somebody

I think today was our chance of qualifying for the CL.

Can't see us finishing top 5 now. Think Villa will take the final spot ahead of us.

We never win up there. Win the next two and we'll get top 5.

Just like Southampton the worst team in PL history lost to City yesterday……oh wait

Wasn't particularly confident of getting anything away at Newcastle before Jackson's idiocy.

The only thing to take from today is that we have you stop having two right backs on the bench and playing Caciedo there just so we can shoehorn Enzo into the starting eleven.

No we are not, we have to win both games

I didn't expect a win, but I expect the players to turn up. Newcastle should have been out of sight in the first half, we were atrocious. How do you turn up to such a big game looking so disinterested?

Lose the game, but lose with some dignity. They gave a good go of it in the 2nd half, but the damage was done in the 1st thanks to how the players approached the game, and the idiocy of our clown striker.

Ah being able to refresh the matchdau thread and know the outcome by the amount of pages, this is how it used to be!

Oilers lose then Chelsea lose. Its a thing.

I think it was the right decision, but why wasn't Mings sent off. This is where double standards comes into play. Mings one was a lot more powerful too. Anyway Jackson is an idiot. We were being dominated with 11 anyway and now he just made it even tougher. Will most likely be out of CL places end of today.

Jackson probably watched Mings do it on TV last night and thought... Doh! So I can do that and not get sent off eh?

That’s part of what made this so difficult to take. A team that spent most of the game pinned back at home by a bang average 10 men with an awful goalkeeper. They’ll do f**k all in the CL anyway.

They’ll do more than us!
