The Chelsea app says 41k - that seems generous. I looked this morning and tickets in our section were still $200 a piece.

I don’t think the price is the issue, albeit expensive. It’s 3pm on a Monday - just an odd time got a sporting event.

I’m sure the knockouts will sell out

It picked up ALOT after kick off (maybe ticketing issues) so 41K seems possible.

It is though timing American sports for Europeans. This is probably the best compromise in terms of the time. If this was 2 hours later I wouldn't have watched it

  • Chelsea almost sold out this stadium two years ago with over 70,000 fans watching them face Newcastle in a friendly tournament named the Premier League Summer Series.

  • An MLS official has told BBC Sport that a big problem with this tournament is kick-off times with this match taking place at 3pm on Monday, when most locals are at work.

We were at that game also - was a two for one as Brighton vs Brentford (a true classic!) kicked off first. There were four fan bases there, and a surprising number of Brighton and Brentford fans.

UCL is not the best teams and nor is World Cup. I think at the point of last 8 only very good teams are there.

All but one of the best sides in European football was playing in the Champions League last season, and that was Napoli. The World Cup is the same.

The Club World Cup doesn't have the champions of the 3 biggest leagues in world football.

A small price for a global game.

Enzo coming on - could do with his passing

Why aren't they kicking off the 2nd half? Has Putin invaded America?

No. They just got every woman of the world watching this. And a couple of lads as well.

Who are you voting for as "Superior Player of the Match" ?

God bless America. Reinventing Soccerball for all the World to enjoy.

And they have split screen adverts when subs are made
