Gittens was at our academy before city’s which makes now buying him for that money an even bigger cock up by someone but ur point stands.

We ain’t frugal, I said in a different post they can’t see beyond resale and that this summer was going to tell us whether this club is interested in competing for the top honours or horse trading young players for profit……sadly looking like the latter😔

Hindsight's lovely and all that, but I'm not sure you can bash someone who is almost certainly no longer at the club for releasing an 8 year old back in 2012/13 that didn't look like he was the right stuff vs other 8 year olds in the same group ...

Apparently, it kind of makes you wonder why they bother at that age, I mean how much can you tell. Watching 8yr olds play is like watching ants on a sweet.

I don’t have a problem with Gittens, looks a good young players…..we have plenty of those though. It’s the clubs model now though, we’re the English Dortmund.

Won’t sign top players, won’t pay big wages, won’t win top honours but our future looks good 🙄

I'd take Petrovic over every other keeper in the squad. The very fact that a number of clubs are interested in signing him is a proof that he has quality. Notice how no-one is queuing up to buy Sanchez or Jorgensen. Knowing how these idiots operate, we're probably going to sell Petrovic and start the new season with the same two clowns we had the season before.

Yeah Petrovic looks to have improved alot, would've been great to see him. I think Penders is going though, so maybe he gets some minutes.

That’s infuriating. I found abit of consolation in knowing we have Petrovic when this move failed but it looks like he’s a goner now!

But maybe we got lucky, there’s another ‘marketing opportunity’ coming up… PSG looking to sell Donnarumma this summer.

Out of all the agents we have copied up to under this ownership, the one we haven't been near is the late Mino Raiola's clients, and for good reason. There is no way on earth we can pay the wages.

He will probably extend at PSG.

Donnarumma comes up with the occasional high profile big save or penalty stop, but I honestly think he is a fairly limited keeper and extremely over-rated. Wouldn't surprise me if Luis Enrique was after someone better. PSG will probably sign Petrovic for £20m and sell us Donnarumma for £70m LOL

If I remember rightly didn't PSG publicly announce to these idiot Chelsea directors to never darken their door again, after the Ziyech fiasco caused by the bumbling oafs at Chelsea. I suspect that the only time that they will trade with our clowns will be to pull their pants down.

This is my problem with the club at the minute. The moment you start hiring and firing, buying and selling for non football related reasons you have become a commercial club not a football club. Buying and selling players on the side to enhance ur revenue is fine but ur first team squad should always be top priority. The moment u are selling academy players for pure profit not because they are surplus to ur requirements but are actually better than the players u are keeping your in a bad place. Unless a player is unhappy, homesick etc you only sell first teamers when u have a better replacement. Petrovic is the best keeper in our books right now so should be the last one sold. Maignan and Petrovic would have been a massive upgrade on Sanchez and Jorgensen, one we already owned the other we could have picked up for peanuts in this day and age. I bet if Petrovic was American or from Asia maybe he’d be more commercially viable and they’d keep him.
