1 win in 5 league games. Nowhere near good enough.

If we had literally any winger other than Garnacho on the pitch we win this game. He's a complete liability.

Anyone but Gittens maybe.

Would have taken a point before hand tough place to go but the constant sh*t first halves are really gonna cost us

It already has. We'll be scrambling for a top 4 finish in May.

Different date same sh*t on tyneside.

Least we walk away with a point rather than the usual loss but their defence is a mess and we should be winning here. Once again we dont show up for the first half.

Oh well. On the positive we came back and took a point from somewhere we seem to struggle.

But on the negative, an absolutely shocking first half and another two points lost.

Is it five points out of the last twelve? It’s definitely struggling to hold on to top four form.

Stuart Pearce said Chelsea have the ability to beat anyone, but do they have the attitude, togetherness and desire in every game ?

He said that if we had shown the same attitude in the first half as we did in the second half we would be walking away with all 3 points. . I had it on the radio, it's so frustrating to hear the exact same 11 can come out with a different, and better attitude.... I don't know if he changed the formation or not?

We never win at Newcastle. Jose never won there - with any team. So in all fairness a 2-2 draw is a good result.

Good to see J.Pedro score. Fantastic performance from Reece James. I wonder why Garnacho is so consistently able to hit them over the bar? That takes some doing. He wasn't having his best game and we had no other wingers on the bench - were they all out injured?

Estevao is injured. As for Gittens...

Sterling probably hasn't impressed in training (with the under 13s).

If we start games as we did in the 2nd half, we could win any game. There is no excuse for starting the way we do, it's just putting ourselves at a major disadvantage.

Play with intensity, take the game to the opposition, that's how you win. You don't win games waiting for something to happen, you disrespect the opposition thinking you can just walk your way to victory.

Fair play to all on here who stuck with it….after the 2nd Newcastle goal went in I handed the remote to the missus. And fair play to the team for clawing the game back and stealing a point and giving the travelling fans something to go home with.

There is something inherently wrong with this team and managers mindset at the start of these difficult away games. They have brain farts from the outset. I can never understand from a kick off when you have possession that you kick it straight back to your keeper, who just boots it up the pitch giving the ball to the opposition…fcku we have the ball why are we simply giving it to the opponents; you just as well have kicked it directly to them to begin with. In the grand scheme of things it seems a minor point, but it sets the tone. Tactically and mentally the first half was shocking, Gusto and Cucurella were all over the place creating big holes on each wing which were easily exploited, the midfield was also being overran , it was like there is no structure to this team and that is down to the manager.

I don’t like his tactics and playing players out of their natural positions which eventually gets found out. Maybe I’m old fashioned but defenders defend they don’t cluelessly run all over the place…leaving the defensive side of the game exposed….the sooner the bald twat has gone the better.

George wasn't picked for some stupid reason.

Imagine if we could starts games like this instead of having to make loads of changes at HT all the time. Why do we always come out like we're half-asleep?

I wonder if Howe is thinking how did we throw it away.

A lot of games these days are games of two half due to better managers coming into the games.
