Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

Should have never been hired at the start and now it shows. Don’t care what people think but with a proper experienced manager the team would not be like this. Yes we have flaws I.e goalie and defense but we will never challenge with frauds like rosenior

Goalie? Are we a hockey team now?

Given the recent performances I would say we seem to be unfamiliar with playing football. So probably yes they are playing the wrong sport.

I don't think I've seen our fan base so united in knowing a manager needs to go. Let's see if our board agree, although I doubt it.

Wouldn’t be overly confident they’ll pull the plug.

Potter was allowed limp on for months and despite similar results Pochetino was only sacked when he found his voice. Being a yes man to the project seems to carry far more weight than results.

And who gets to pick the replacement? The same people who put him on a 6 year contract 3 months ago after sacking the previous guy 18 months into the 5 year contract they put him on?

Rosenior's crap, I don't rate him. But it really is not about him and sacking him won't change anything.

It’s getting Lampard post Potter levels of bad.

Seasons done imo so there honestly isn’t any use sacking him now. Just start the due diligence of bringing in the next manager in the summer but again this is all moot knowing who runs this football club.

We are only 6 points ahead of 11th place.

Talk is about making next year's champions league. With who we have to play I think dropping in to the bottom half is completely possible.

And if it provokes constant protests again BlueCo and the match going fans taking regular action so we force these owners to sell up early over the next few years then I say bring it on.

Again, the same question is what next, if or when they let go of Rosenior? I mean, there wasn't even a proper plan when Maresca was about to go ( although he wasn't technically sacked). What's next, big Angie?

Until BlueCo are gone it does not matter who the head coach is.

I mean they don't feel the coach plays a key role in results anyway

That's not entirely true; we've got a lot of talented young prospects in the roster even if they are (IMO) green for what we need atm.
Still, I rather have them learning the ropes from a proper manager than someone with as little experience as Liam has.

Think about estevao for a moment: usually players waste time at the international call ups, but in the case of Estevao that's the time he will be learning from Ancelotti.

Yes, I'm suggesting that an entirely unexperienced manager like Liam may actually cost the club long-term.

Players like Estevao need to leave. Being at this shell of a club with this despicable ownership who see him as nothing more than an asset to raise their portfolio is detrimental to what should be an amazing career.

What's the use of signing prospects when they don't learn from quality coaches?

Players aren't that stupid and they don't live in an isolated bubble. Imagine having Ancelotti's team available to text you about ways to improve your game then you walk in Rosenior's team meetings and you can't even get ahead of Neto and Garnacho.

I just feel sorry for him. He shouldn't be here.

I was out of my depth in a job once, it's a horrible feeling. Thankfully I was sacked let go after a frank discussion, with 3 months salary plus I got my sleep and normal adrenaline level back. Despite the waffle, probably despair-induced, Rosenior appears to be nice guy, I don't wish him ill, but FFS he should get himself "let go" as well. He'll find a new job at a lower level, stable club next season.

I bet its not a horrible feeling when you're being paid thousands per week and if you get sacked you are paid your contract. These football jobs are just not real life. You get paid well even when you fail.

I cant have a pop at the manager, knew he would be out of his depth and not ready for a club like Chelsea. I'm not so sure he wanted out of Strasbourg either tbh and was a desperate appointment from the board who had no one lined up.

Having said that, I expect far more from the players. There is a disgusting attitude being shown by these overpaid pricks who dont give a sh*t about the club. They down tools every season, the petulance is awful and has contributed to the number of red cards. Basically, spoiled kids are running and ruining the show.

Im honestly starting to dislike all the players at the minute, none are covering themselves in any glory or putting in the effort. We are a club with a playing roster of spoilt man babies... they need to grow up and take responsibility for their own sh*t performances.
