Are there any legitimate January transfers linked to us? Ross Barkley would be an underwhelming signing to say the least.

that would be an amazing January window, however, I don't think it will happen.  The type of players we should be going for will usually be cup tied, and unwilling to move in January, especially with the uncertainty surrounding the  club as to who will be manager come next season

I just figured that's what we'd be after, not that we'll necessarily get those three and if they do we'll most likely end up with our umpteenth choice deadline day transfers nobody.

We need another midfielder that can drive the ball forward with pace. Having Bakayoko alone that can do that isn't feasible if we're going to be playing in more than 2 tournament.

Rumor for Ciro Immobile. If we played with two strikers, I'm just not sure how we'd fit Hazard in. I guess have him free to roam with Baka and Kante behind. Do y'all see that system being successful?

Kante can also operate as a box to box imo.

I dont see Immobile coming to Chelsea. Lazio are doing really well in Serie A and in contention to qualify for the CL this season. Just random rumours with no credibility. 

Also to be frank, he has played outside Italy twice and been a bit of a flop both times.

Linked to Mouctar Diakhaby, he was written off by a few people, has started performing well consistently, been a fan of his for a while. 

Dont want to see us buying any fringe players that will hardly play for us, need some world class players who can straight into the starting XI. Most notably probably need a couple top quality wingbacks, a couple wingers and maybe another striker

That would be nice but signing 4/5 world class players who will go straight into the team is a pipe dream. I would still like Sandro and possibly a back up striker but doubt we will see much movement in Jan.

We should go for Draxler. Not much rumors in him going anywhere but he can’t be too happy on PSG’s bench.

Two footed and an intelligent player with a rocket of a shot. Can play in a Attacking mid position if we go for a 3-5-2 and wing if we play a 3-4-3. He’ll also be capable of taking the burden off of Hazard.

I’d certainly prefer him over Barkley

On a serious note, I think we will be looking for a LWB based on what conte thinks of Baba. Sandro is a pipe dream, so I would settle for Shaw.

As for wingers, it will be interesting to see how Conte goes about this. If he feels our future is more in playing 3-5-2, then a striker becomes a must while sacrificing one of pedro/willian.

I didnt mean that we get 4/5 players that go straight into the first XI, but we could possibly get a world class LB/LWB and a RW which is only really 2 players, the rest can be good backups for what we already have. 

For example, having a Sanchez and Sandro would make our team so much better than it is with just those 2 players (on paper anyway)

Sandro and Sanchez is not too unreasonable to think, seeing as we've been heavily linked to Sandro, and Sanchez almost definitely wants out of Arsenal. Other players we get could simply be backup players

100%, plus he could be a great player to play on the opposite side of Hazard. 

Hazard-Morata-Draxler, my word its what dreams are made of! Especially considering they're all fairly young too and in their primes (Draxler and Morata probably not even reached their prime yet)

I think people overrate this guy. For an attacking midfielder, he doesn't score or assist anywhere near enough. In most games i have seen him play in, he has been a passenger. He would go missing for us in the big games. I would rather stick with Pedro.

I feel it, although he carried a useless Schalke team as a 21-year old and he wasn’t too bad last season with PSG, had a decent number of goals and assists and scored in big matches (including against Barca). 

This season Neymar and M’bappe are pretty much keeping him out of the team. We could sign him on loan before finalizing anything although I doubt PSG would want that and would demand 40mil plus for him.

I only want him because of his versatility really. Someone like Sanchez can only play up top or on the wing, probably can’t be slotted in midfield
