July 26, 20196 yr Matt Law reporting we are looking to sign Zaha on a delayed transfer. If Palace said no to a player+60m I only hope this is not true. Part of me wants to find out how good he could be if he was in a team playing important matches all the time since he always seems to play out of his skull against the big clubs. The other part of me does not want to see Chelsea pay 80m to find out.
July 26, 20196 yr If we are trying to sign Zaha, then why would we sign Willian to a new contract? That doesn’t seem to add up.
July 26, 20196 yr Pepe to Napoli for £72m. Im excited about seeing the youngsters this season, but i cant help but feel a bit gutted about missing out on this window, loads of good players have moved, we had a lot of money to spend, and we had chsmpions league to offer. Pepe, Jovic, de ligt, de jong, fekir, mendy, ndombele, rodri, felix, haller, and there is still 3 weeks left, and plenty of other good players still strongly rumoured to be available. Hopefully we create a few superstars this season, and we can pick up some of this seasons breakout players when the embargo is over.
July 26, 20196 yr I wish Zaha would just hurry up and leave Palace so we can put an end to these rumours of him joining us. I don't think the Willian contract extension would make any difference in this situation. With Willian, it was sign him up for another year or potentially lose him on a free transfer next season. I hope this rumour about Zaha isn't true. Why would we pay £60m for a player that we can't even use for a full season? Imagine if he got a serious injury in the next year, it would be a complete waste of money. I also don't really rate the guy that much.

I also don't really rate the guy that much. Just based on the fact that they both play on the wing, it seemed strange that we would extend Willian while also buying Zaha, unless we are going to sell Willian next summer for sure. I imagine we will extend Pedro as well, just to avoid losing him on a free and by all reports, he has been pining for an extension. Either way, all fair points from you. Much too expensive for Zaha relative to what other players will be available, not to mention I wouldn't want him starting over CHO or Pulisic once he did arrive here.

August 7, 20196 yr Here's a random rumor . . . an old True Blue Yank () may be returning to the Bridge after a 12 year absence come next March. Could be epic . . . . . Watch this space . . . . .

August 9, 20196 yr Despite the transfer window slamming shut yesterday evening a gentle draft can still be felt flowing in... As a result today we've tentatively been linked with a move to resign Nathan Ake from Bournemouth once our transfer ban is over. Despite Leicester being quoted in the region of £75m for Ake as Maguire's replacement Chelsea can apparently sign him for around £40m as part of a clause in the contract from when we sold him two years ago and the clause will still be active in January and next summer.
August 9, 20196 yr Ake is a quality player, would not mind him in our squad one bit. I remember him playing as a centre-back and full-back for us but Rafa used him as a holding midfielder aswell. Not to mention he´s been linked to City aswell in the recent past.
August 9, 20196 yr Ake coming back would be fantastic imo, was one of the few players in our loan system that I was shocked to see go as he always had a big future. Also hearing rumours that we are trying to get Zaha which would be great (but I seriously doubt 80m is worth it...). Dybala clearly wants to move, and hes at Juve one more season. If we can get a UCL spot this season, I definitely would try signing him too! Next summers transfer incomings: Zaha, Ake, Dybala, Rugani How great would that be?
