RIP Dave Sexton

Just heard this sad news on Sky, do't know if its been posted before.

Thanks for that special FA Cup Dave.

RIP Dave Sexton - he was the manager who brought us our first FA Cup and European trophies, great coach.

Still can't forgive him for selling Osgood & Hudson though, Chelsea could have been the team of the 70's if he'd kept the side together.

Farewell to a proper football bloke.

Dave Sexton was a brilliant coach but his man-management skills left something to be desired. At the time I was furious at the manner in which he broke up the early seventies side.

Ossie found it in his heart to forgive the man, and I am sure I can do likewise.

RIP Mr Sexton

And thanks for everything

RIP Dave Sexton - well before my time, but seeing how important the victories and memories of the early 70s were to the previous generation of Chelsea fans I made sure to find out all about it; I was proud to learn that we out-fought Leeds and went toe-to-toe with Real Madrid. Thanks for everything and for giving our 90s sides a level to aspire to.

Thank you Dave for the fantastic team that won those cups, both firsts and not repeated for all those years, the excitement of our first FA cup win was immeasurable.

Before my time too, but gives me joy watching the 70's Cup final clips that Bluebeard sent me.

RIP Dave, thoughts to your family
