1 and a half games isn't enough to judge anyway. Everyone knows they are both great keepers. But one is 10 years younger than the other! One can only get better and one can only decline. 

I wonder how much A Madrid paid us for his matches against us, probably nothing , we got royal screwed in the loan deal once more. If he wasn't playing, the terry header would have gone in, 2:1 up and we park the doube bus till the end, easy! We probably missed out 20-30m just for the final appearnce, let alone a potential trophy. With all due respect to A Madrid, they can get f@ comes to any loan deal in future.

Crazy how he still made a save after he was fouled. An extremely good keeper, he'll only get better.

I would imagine us and Atletico came to an arrangement, though if we informed them that, no matter what, we want Courtios back next season then they have every reason to play him given Uefa would back them and prevent the clause in the loan deal from taking effect.

I think either one would be absolutely fine! The only concern is that we keep Courtois happy because we are going to need him for years to come. Cech has been a fantastic servant and is a top keeper. Courtois has proved how good he is and is world class! If we don;t have im as number one next season though I reckon Barca or another big club will go in for him and offer first team football for them which he'd probably take. It's a tough one but Cech shouldn't just be disregarded. He does not deserve that.

While we let Courtois play for a side like Athletico it harms our chances of winning things. Imagine if the game was 0-0 and he pulled off the two saves he made from JT and Hazard ?

For me for Chelsea and Jose to move forward we need to remove some of the old guard from his last reign here and I would start with Cech and Cole. Courtois has proved he can play at the very top and I wouldn't be surprised if he picked up the double and in Jose's eyes to win the Spanish league and European Cup in one season in goalkeeping terms the kid would be the special one. He has won 16 points in the league due to his crucial saves and in his season in the Belgian league when a youngster is credited with winning the league by himself! It would be crazy to not make him our NO1 but my worry is he might now think he has more of a chance to win things at Athletico than us.

I hope he pulls off some incredible saves in the final and Atletico go on to win it. 

Get him back. Get him in.

Cech has been a legend for us, and was as instrumental as Drogba, if not more so in Munich, but we have to move forward and think what's best for the club. These two can't be kept in the same squad - not even for a year.

Courtois is only slightly taller than Cech but when those balls go into the box he looks twice his size. Does he have crazily proportioned arms compared to his body or something? Every ball into the box looks like its doomed to go into those spaghetti like arms.

Phenomenal performance last night, he made some truly remarkable saves and was invincible in the air, I can only remember him losing out once (to Ba, and that was given as a foul anyway). Hope he can come home with a Champions League medal, he deserves it. How lucky are we right now? It is entirely possible that we have the two best goalkeepers in Europe at our disposal.

From what I have seen this season I think Courtois is the more 'complete' package.

He is a great shot stopper, huge in size and his reach is incredible from cross balls.

The thing is Cech is a legend and still is a top GK so I dont see Jose dropping him. I just hope to god we dont lose this kid as it will haunt us for years.

I thinks that's where many of us are. Love Cech and all he has done for us and acheived but there can't be room for sentiment in football and Courtois appears to now be the better keeper and has his whole future ahead of him.

Distribution seems fine if the stats are anything to go by. 

 

There is no question in my mind, we have to look to the future, & the future looks secure in Courtois's hands.

Not a massive problem by any means, I would probably have courtois now if im being honest.

Drogba could make any kick down field look a good ball!

Personally I think his kicking is his weakest point, always has been. I also think its courtois weakest aswell, but hopefully courtois will improve.

Agreed, Cech's kicking has always been poor, especially when passed back to him. That said it's not really a massive deal.
