It's become very quiet here. Any concerns Abramovich might change his mind due to the miserable season so far?

There will be a lot of 'behind the scenes' discussions going on between the Club, the Architects, Transport for London  and the Planners at Hammersmith & Fulham before a Full Planning Application is submitted. This will be a massive development for the area and will require a lot of consultation.  The more detail you can get in the application early on the more chance you have of getting it approved. So even though it appears to be quiet - you can be sure there's a lot of work going on to make sure it (hopefully) sails through planning.

How long it be for a decision? If it approved, when will work actually begin?

If I remember correctly it will take six months for approval to be granted - gives the council and local residents and businesses to ask questions, make complaints etc. As the club has already been in discussions with fans, council, residents etc, hopefully most of the questions and complaints have been answered.

A planning application for a new stadium at Stamford Bridge with an expanded seating capacity has been submitted. This follows a successful consultation process during which we received very helpful feedback.

This application will now be examined by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Full details can be found on their website atwww.lbhf.gov.uk/stamfordbridgegrounds.

The main details of the application are:

- Stadium seating capacity to expand from 41,600 to 60,000 spectators

- An outstanding view of the stadium from every seat

- An arena designed to create an exciting atmosphere

- Direct access to and from Fulham Broadway Station, making travel more efficient

- Stadium facilities improved for every area

The planning process will last beyond the end of the season; if the application is granted planning permission there will still be a lot of work to do before redevelopment can start, including obtaining various other consents. We will inform you of progress through this process.

Thank you for your continued support.

love the 2nd picture showing how we will have direct access to Fulham Broadway and how we would use/build a tunnel over the railway line by the cemetery makes much more sense now ....looks amazing ................let's hope dufuss at number 23 doesn't oppose and delay the project even more ...

Other than Chelsea / Roman pulling out what reasons could actually scupper the plan now, considering all the background work that has been done already?

Can only presume the club have an alternative venue virtually lined up now they have submitted the application and that they must be confident this will get the green light. Looks amazing.

So 6 months for approva will be June 2016. When would work start? Am I right in thinking we would move out for 3 seasons from 2017/18 season?

Question is, as we are getting no freebies like city and west ham did with their new grounds, will we have to do an arsenal for a few years, not spend much cash on players and try and try sneak in top four year after year?

I believe Roman is funding it all so our spending won't need to be capped in that sense I don't *think*. FFP out the f**king window anyway.
