Straight in as number 2 to Conte ? - I believe he was doing his badges so he qualifies No, i don't want us to go all United and give legends roles they ain't ready for just because they are legends. IfHolland leaves for the England set up then Adi Viveash should get first refusal on being the new club number two.
December 23, 20169 yr See both JT & Lamps are on Soccer AM tomorrow. Have got out of the habit of watching it lately but must make sure I don't miss this one.
December 24, 20169 yr John Terry will become Chelsea's assistant manager at the end of this season if he decides to retire. [Sky Italia]

Brilliant to see them both, and so clear such affection and admiration of each other talents, some good insights into the club, Ex managers and players...
January 8, 20179 yr JT has scored at least one goal in each of the 16 seasons.Could this season be the end of his steak?

January 9, 20179 yr I think its clear for everyone to see that his playing careers is rapidly coming to an end. Certainly for us. What a legend though, hope he gets to bow out by lifting the trophy in may. That would be a fitting end to JTs Chelsea-days as a player.
January 9, 20179 yr I really hope he sticks around as coach if last season proved anything it's that you need leaders around the club.
January 9, 20179 yr I saw on Teletext that the club has appealed the red card. Rightly so, in my opinion. As I saw it, JT slipped, but never actually touched the attacker, who jumped and fell anticipating a collision. In my mind, it was not even a foul, let alone a card of any colour. For it to be a foul, there must be intent, or reckless disregard. Slipping over because you try to turn too quickly doesn't encompass either of those situations. Finally, the main thing that convinces me of my position is that the w**kers on FACup MOTD all said "yep, bad foul, last man, deserves it for just being JT, had to go, should also have been a penalty anyway, CFC should forfeit the match, weren't plucky little Posh unlucky?".
January 9, 20179 yr He was out of his depth yesterday against League one opposition, he was poor last season to but his status at the club and the fact Ivanovic was worse meant he wasn't as scrutinised. Absolute legend but 14/15 was definitely his last hurrah, can actually only see him playing once more this term and that's the last game of the season vs Sunderland for a send off IF we either have the title secured or got nothing to play for.
January 9, 20179 yr Still got the head, but not the body. He's very immobile nowadays, this is definitely his last season. Hopefully will move into coaching or become assistant if Steve Holland is leaving for England

Out of his depth ? Apart from that one moment where he got sent off ( which was more down to Zouma than Terry ) he had a very comfortable game. Terry was the best of our defenders yesterday even with the red card.

Ive seen a few people say Terry had struggled in the game, I thought he was comfortably our best defender on the day, even after being exposed a few times. I dont understand anyone saying he was out of his depth.
January 9, 20179 yr I don't think jt was that bad yesterday either. People seem to forgot how long it's been since he last started. That being said, I do think this will be his last year. From the noises conte has made about him though, I wouldn't be suprised to see him join the back room staff, as it seems to be a role he has played most of this season anyway. Sad day when he retires.

January 10, 20179 yr Had a look at the red we appealed for JT, it looks like a straight red tbh but when you slow it down, at the time he takes out the forward Ivan is just goal side by a hair, whether he could get there or not is irrelevant because technically JT isnt last man, did he stop a goal scoring opportunity in light of teh face ivan wouldn't get there, maybe so, still had a lot to do, not sure the benefit of appealing that.
January 10, 20179 yr The appeal has been rejected: John Terry will serve a one-match suspension with immediate effect after his wrongful dismissal claim was unsuccessful, following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing. The Chelsea defender was sent off for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity during The Emirates FA Cup third round tie against Peterborough United on Sunday [8 January 2017]. http://www.thefa.com/news/2017/jan/10/john-terry-dismissal-claim-rejected-100117
January 10, 20179 yr Well, I wasn't expecting this. SSN are reporting that Bournemouth have enquired about taking Terry on loan until the end of the season.
