November 26, 201411 yr Did great getting back onside quickly before his goalI loved that, shows just how good it can be having an experienced striker who just knows what's needed. His cross for ramires was a belted too. Edited November 26, 201411 yr by dkw
November 27, 201411 yr Still capable of doing things ordinary strikers can only dream of. Quality just oozed from him when he came on last night. None more so than the enormous cross field pass he smacked from one side of the pitch to the other. And the cross he stood up for Rami.
November 27, 201411 yr Didier still has it even though he's lost a yard of pace and is getting older these days! His leadership, presence and ability to score goals is first class and should be admired by everyone. It's great to have him back leading the younger guys of the team. His experience is invaluable as he knows how to win trophies. Edited November 27, 201411 yr by Jezz
November 27, 201411 yr Amazing to have his leadership. Can't wait for him to be a coach next year for Bamford.
November 27, 201411 yr Lol isnt it funny how a couple of decent games from DD have turned peoples opinions completely around.
November 27, 201411 yr Useful against poor teams and a valuable player if we're looking for a goal late in a game, but still not good enough in my opinion to lead the line against decent opposition. Doesn't mean he isn't a great addition to the squad but I wouldn't really want us to have to start with him too many times.
November 27, 201411 yr Don't think there is any danger of that barring big injuries. He's an impact sub these days, and a hell of a good one!
November 27, 201411 yr And to think some people were against bringing him back.... Yes, they're called Manchester United fans. They knew what was going to happen once Jose came back. Edited November 27, 201411 yr by ForeverCarefree
November 27, 201411 yr I doubt Arsenal fans were too happy about it either, Senderos is probably hiding in a blacked out room too.

Doesn't mean he isn't a great addition to the squad but I wouldn't really want us to have to start with him too many times. He wasn't brought in to lead the line. He's third choice, but when he did lead the line vs Man U it was a damn good performance from him.
November 27, 201411 yr He wasn't brought in to lead the line. He's third choice, but when he did lead the line vs Man U it was a damn good performance from him. We seem to be a team built around a striker who can stretch the play. Costa is probably the best in the world at doing that right now and Remy is capable of it as well - Drogba isn't. Aside from the goal at Man United, I thought Drogba really did look his age and if either of the other choices were available then I reckon we'd have won. But that's why he's third choice. He's still world-class in the box but outside of it he really doesn't have it anymore which is why you really only want to use him when we're either chasing games or closing them out.
December 4, 201411 yr So that's goals against Manchester United and Tottenham, crucial ones too. It's clear he's lost some pace to father time but Drogba still has things to offer. Makes you realize what an utterly diabolical decision it was to bring the other guy, now in Italy, to the club.
December 4, 201411 yr Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says striker Didier Drogba will still have a job at Stamford Bridge when he finally retires from playing. The 36-year-old, in his second spell at the club, scored as Chelsea beat Tottenham 3-0 on Wednesday. "The important thing is he is here and will finish his career with Chelsea," said Mourinho. "It looks, for me, that he's going to stay doing other things when he finishes his career." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30323914
December 4, 201411 yr I was a doubter when he came and first started playing, he seemed very slow and his link up play was poor, but now it looks like he just needed to gain fitness. I hope he continues to prove us wrong.
December 4, 201411 yr He is immortal He is the Hulk Hogan of Chelsea Football Club. What ya gonna do when Drogbamania runs wild all over you?
December 4, 201411 yr Thought that was his first complete performance for us, against a pretty iffy team in all fairness. Still he took his goal superbly and was a handful whilst he was on the pitch.
December 6, 201411 yr I know we lost today, but The Great DD did pump me up. He had me yelling in my house @ 5am. I couldn't control my glee to see DD come through in our darkest moment. I know it wasn't enough, but DD is still a Great Leader for this Club!!!
December 8, 201411 yr Didier's biggest strength will always be his headers! He's just so powerful and strong in this aspect of his game! I love what he's produced this season considering the low expectations we had this season of him when it came to scoring goals.
