Costa , Lukaku, Drogba looks immeasurably better than Costa ,Torres, Drogba. Praying its Torres that is now shipped out, for some reason though I doubt it.

I really do hope we get Drogba, Costa and Lukaku on the pitch together at some point, it would be a thing of beauty.

Drogba as a sub for me is the best choice. His experience will help Costa, Lukaku too. Just get Torres out & let's boogie.

Il hold my judgement until the window closes, as to whether this was a good move or not.

Drogba is my all time favourite player so it will be fantastic to see him again, just this doesn't hinder lukaku, as if he was to leave, I would be overwhelmed with the current options.

I'm just assuming that Torres is gone so I won't be pissed/disappointed in the near future.

Nice to have some experience back after losing quite a lot in a short space of time.

 

Will be a huge boost to have in the dressing room even if he never plays.

I know he is likely to get the number 15 shirt as Salah is moving numbers by the look of things, but if Torres leaves then surely it would make sense to give him the number 9 shirt if he wants it. 

 

Of course I don't think the number 25 shirt has officially been retired yet. If ever there was a man to take the shirt after Zola, then it's Drogba.

 

Shirt numbers of course are not relevant to a lot of people but there you go. 

 

Back to the signing himself im in two minds. It ended so perfectly with his last act first time round winning us The Champions League and he is past his best, but it would be just brilliant to see him score against Arsenal and/or win more trophies with us. Even having him back just gives a feel-good factor!

Very mixed feelings about this. Although it's of course nothing against Drogba personally - goes without saying, I'll do it anyway before a lynch party starts - for now there is no way of telling how this will affect Torres, Lukaku and Costa. I hope for every positive, but I will wait until the transfer window closes and we'll know who will play for us at least until January.

BTW tough for Costa to start at a new club at the same time a club legend returns to steal his thunder.
