October 1, 201411 yr So Liverpool played well technically apparently, according to Rodgers....The f**k does that mean?It means they're top of the alternative technical champions league group with 6 points
October 2, 201411 yr Technically speaking Liverpool only lost because they were outplayed by a technically better side, but if again speaking technically Liverpool would have won had they been the techinically more gifted side? Which is Rodgers-speak for "because they were sh*te." Thank you! Edited October 2, 201411 yr by DoubleHelix
October 2, 201411 yr To be completely honest, didn't we lose to basel home and away last season?Still funny though.
October 2, 201411 yr What do no one can post? That`s right yoda.....no one can post on that forum ( i think that`s what he meant).

October 2, 201411 yr Actually slipping is contagious at lpuke https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy8HV12zi_8 I think this was mentioned re 'the' slip but don't Liverpool water the pitch at Anfield just before games? To me, the above looks like a proper slip on a wet surface.
October 2, 201411 yr To be completely honest, didn't we lose to basel home and away last season? Still funny though. You beat me to it Although it's wonderful to poke fun at the Dippers, some humility shouldn't go amiss.
October 2, 201411 yr Basle have beaten Utd, us and Liverpool at home in champions league. They are certainly no pushovers. You'd imagine Liverpool will get tonked home and away from Madrid, which would completely kill them off from the group stages. Thursday nights, channel 5

October 2, 201411 yr I hope that happen to City aswell and Arsenal (most unlikely) City and Liverpool are goners, I reckon Arsenal will make it to the knock-outs though. Once again we'll be left holding the English flag in Europe... How many years is that now?

I think this is why they celebrated the way they did yesterday, they seem to be making a habit of beating English sides.

October 2, 201411 yr I don't want to put the mockers on you boys but everything seems to be falling into place for Chelsea this year.
October 2, 201411 yr England squad for games against Estonia and San Marino Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Southampton), Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion), Joe Hart (Manchester City) Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), John Stones (Everton) Midfielders: Fabian Delph (Aston Villa), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), James Milner (Manchester City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Jonjo Shelvey (Swansea City), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal) Forwards: Rickie Lambert (Liverpool), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Daniel Welbeck (Arsenal)
October 2, 201411 yr Fraser Foster should be given a chance in goal. The Saints defense has been solid so far this season and Hart isn't even nailed on first choice at City. I think Bertrand is unlucky to not be called up especially when you consider how many goals Baines' Everton defense are shipping. Not sure what Lamberts done this season to deserve a call up either.
October 2, 201411 yr I think Liverpool do have a good chance against Madrid, Madrid will come out on top most probably but I doubt it will be a thrashing like many people think it will be. How many people thought Bayern where going to destroy Man United last season, didn't happen at all, if anything United almost went through.
October 2, 201411 yr Phil Thompson says in that Sky article "“Real Madrid will be completely different [to Basel],” Thompson told Sky Sports News HQ." “Liverpool will be the underdogs and that’s what Basel were on Wednesday. " Err, no. Basel were 2nd pot, Liverpool were 3rd. You just can't accept that Liverpool are lower seeded than Basel. Edited October 2, 201411 yr by Beerqueen

If he plays this weekend the FA should slaughter Liverpool. But we know they won't.

October 2, 201411 yr No Sturridge. If he plays this weekend the FA should slaughter Liverpool. But we know they won't. Honestly f**k the FA. I fully support Liverpool on this action good for them for protecting their player by not letting the FA call him up. I'm sick and tired of these pointless internationals f**king up the season by getting players injured. If it's the World Cup ok you'd let them go because of the importance by the club should have the right to refuse call ups if it's a friendly or if the opponent is extremely low ranked by FIFA. I hope Liverpool do play Sturridge this weekend and stick 2 fingers up to the asshats.
