The group of Mali, Cameroon, Guinea and Ivory coast are tired on 2 points each after 2 games.

 

Ivory Coast face Cameroon in the last game. Win and they go through, otherwise they may well go out. Leaving Toure able to come back to England in time to face us.

 

Do not recall Ivory Coast ever going out early of the ACoN when we wanted Drogs or Kalou back early...lol...

Eto'o has left Everton for Sampdoria after allegedly falling out with Martinez, always did think he was a bit of a prick.

Delph has signed a new 4.5 year deal with Villa despite being linked with a free transfer to Liverpool at the end of the season when he would have been out of contract.

He choose Villa over Liverpool.

Seems a sensible choice to me.

I've been thinking about the Cups (FA and League): if Liverpool win either we'll never hear the end of it what with Stevie heading off to the USA. I can hear the commentator now:

'A Cup win for Liverpool and a personal triumph for Gerrard - the loyal servant getting his just reward, etc, etc'.

City fan I know tells me Abu Dhabi airport is decked out in City related gear, for everything you can imagine. They've probably not got anything extra out of this. But more likely to be part of the overall 'deal'.

 

I'm an expat living in Abu Dhabi and been through that airport more times than I can count. I can confirm that it is filled with a lot of City gear.

 

Any City score is always the first score relayed after the Arabian Gulf League scores. I would venture to say that friendly was to stir up even more interest and was in place a long time ago. They cater to both expats and locals as much as they can. I believe it's just another way they expand their brand globally.

Cuadrado looks pretty lively for Fiorentina right now but he's playing on the left

 

Watched the game. That's the first 90 minutes I've seen of Cuadrado. He's clearly got talent and has all kinds of tricks up his sleeve, I can see him being a threat off the bench. Pace to burn too. I just don't think he's a JM type player, can't see him working very hard off the ball.

 

Cuadrado to me seems like the kind of player that could provide moments of magic amid lots of inconsistency, or I could see him flopping spectacularly. Seems like a really risky signing to me.
