Juan Cuadrado to Chelsea .... Done!

One of the better compilations... No flashing lights

Great dribbling.

I have to say though what on earth is going on with the goalkeeping in that league.

I saw enough at Villa Park ( Where I left my aviator stamp BTW ) to suggest he will be like Ronaldinho at his very best this time next season. He may need time to settle but has sheer pace and trickery we have missed at Chelsea since the great Arjen Robben shredded defences under Jose first time round.

I would go as far to say he will bed down the right flank in the way Hazard does the left and personally I would like to see the tenacity of Willian ahead of Oscar in the middle of the three behind the legend that will be Diego Costa.

A fantastic addition to our squad and a far better option than Shurrle or Salah in the past.

I love how we get, he's going to be like Ronaldinho next season to he's going to be a flop all in one page :laugh2:

He's certainly going to have to go some to reach Ronaldihno's level. Ronaldinho's prime only lasted a handful of years, and he was around Cuadrado's age when he started declining.

It wasn't just about the skills with Ronaldinho, he was genius.. Really the full package, perfect balance, awareness, skill, speed, decision making... Closest thing we had to that was Robben and now maybe hazard but both still a long way of goofy in his prime.. I haven't seen much of this fella but at 26 it's hard to believe he will be at that level... That said it's not the expectation.. Even half the player is fine by me...

As I have said many times.. I have never seen him play a full 90 so can't judge either way at this stage

To be fair I think Hazard is better than Robben, although Robben was some player, also had a better eye for goal I thought.

I am excited to see this player, he looks just the ticket. Pacey and skillful, also pretty explosive in the way he can dart away from people from standing still...he will get fouled A LOT.

We should be level headed though and just wait to see what he can do...rather going to polar extremes of "He's gonna be a flop", or "He's the next Ronaldinho"

Come on!

Regards of who the player is... A debut in a new country, in the winter, away at Villa park, whilst grinding out 3 points is gonna be tough to look good. I'm not saying he didn't. But we cannot judge anything in the minutes he had. Wait till Wednesday night, I'm sure we will get a better insight of what type of signing we've made. But full judgement can't be made until next season. By then he will have settled into his new home, got to know his team mates and completed pre-season. So fingers crossed we have a good'un!!!!

Going to be a flop. Looked a bit shaky defending against villa. Dont think he's anything special going forward. Not a bad backup i guess...

Sorry if you're being facetious here but I can't believe what I've just read!

Neymar is probably the closest thing we'll get to see to another Ronaldinho. Barca fans have really been spoilt over the years in terms of entertainers, all the way from Cruyff, Maradona then Laudrup, Ronaldo to Ronaldinho, Messi and now Neymar.

If I were to compare Cuadrado to anyone it would be Bale, but Cuadrado seems a bit more tricky.

Neymar? I would say Suarez myself if I had to compare, I mean I don't think either are in the same style but Suarez has a lot more trickery like Ronaldinho did, a lot more flair.

I do think Neymar is quality though, he has been producing a lot on that left side. I'm actually enjoying watching Barcelona this season, there are glimpses of 2010 about them. I think they missed David Villa a lot when he was injured, didn't seem to be the same player but Neymar has come in and he looks like he can put in the same amount of goals and movement Villa did.

And well... we all know how quality Suarez is he certainly helps, despite not scoring as many goals as he did for Liverpool he has been looking great for them so far I think.

I don't think anyone is like Ronaldinho. Nobody tries the stuff he could do on the pitch.

Besides Zidane, I haven't seen any player like those two chaps for a while. However I would still say Brazilian Ronaldo was the best player I've ever seen play, Ronaldinho was immense but his prime didn't last as long as many expected.

No way suarez can showboat as well as neymar, and that was Ronaldinho all over.

I think neymar is definitely more similar in terms of style and outrageous tricks. But like 1905 said Ronaldinho was a 1 of a kind.

Neymar is 23 though. Ronaldinho was barely known by that time. It's a bit scary when you think about it. I know people don't like the kid much on here, but I think he's possibly the best shout for the next Ballon d'or winner after Messi and Ronaldo. Although I would love it if he was kept frustrated by a certain Belgian obviously.

Ronaldinho is clearly in a class of his own! He was better than Messi and Ronaldo when he was at his peak in 2004-2006. A phenomenal player for mine.

Good to see Juan has settled into the club very nicely and I'm excited to see what he can produce. This season will be I suspect a period of transition and adjusting to the English game but his work rate is the thing that stands out for mine and should hold him in very good stead for the future.

Hopefully he can really push or even surpass Willian in his role.
