October 4, 201510 yr Just watching match of the day 2, this guy cost 86% of what sanchez did for arsenal. Good bit of business that!
October 4, 201510 yr He must be thanking God everyday to escape this mess of a team & Mourinho's primitive system. Having a brilliant season at Juventus. Perhaps it's the manager we should be looking at not the players. Salah, De Bruyne, Mata, Cuadrado all failed under Mourinho and have had success elsewhere. In fact the only true success under Mourinho is Eden Hazard and that's because he's a once in a generation talent. Imagine how effective he'd be under an attacking manager. Having a brilliant season at Juventus That'd be the Juventus who have lost 3 of their opening 7 games and who currently sit 12th in Serie A? Yeah brilliant, Juan is sure showing us.

Im more worried about the success Chelsea has under Mourinho rather than the success of past players. By the way, I'd probably say KDB is the only one of those 4 you stated as being successful elsewhere. I miss Mata and wish he was here, but what success has he enjoyed?

By the way, I'd probably say KDB is the only one of those 4 you stated as being successful elsewhere. I miss Mata and wish he was here, but what success has he enjoyed? I agree. I would love Mata here still and i still haven't really gotten over us selling him, but it's only this season where he is finally starting to shine at United. For 1 and half seasons he was struggling and it was looking likely at times that he could end up leaving.
October 7, 201510 yr Apparently we are to take a cut price of 18 million for him. Put that into the defensive reinforcement fund and good riddance to a man with lots of pace but little technique
October 7, 201510 yr According to Wiki we signed him for £23.3m on a four-and-a-half year deal. If we sell him in January there will be three-and-a-half years left on his contract, which is 77.78% of the original length. If we sell him in the summer there will be three years left on his contract, which represents 66.67% of the original length. With amortisation of player value as their contracts wind down (assuming there is no major improvement or decline in his abilities), we should expect to receive the percentage of his original transfer value relevant to the percentage of his original contract which remains. I.e. if we sell him in January, we should expect to receive 77.78% of the £23.3m we initially paid, which is £18.1m. If we sell him in the summer, we should expect to receive 66.67% of the £23.3m, which is £15.5m. As ridiculous as it sounds, receiving £18m for a player who was a complete dud for us actually represents quite a good return. In addition to that, we would also be able to offload his wages (although admittedly I don't know what percentage of his wage Juventus are currently paying).
February 7, 20179 yr Author https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/feb/06/juventus-juan-cuadrado-internazionale-serie-a Article about everyone's favourite Colombian winger on The Guardian. In brief, he's not scored much and Allegri doesn't really know what to do with him because he doesn't suit his preferred formation and has mostly made sub appearances. Apparently Juventus fans think he just needs more minutes and a pre-season.
April 10, 20179 yr With the initial fee we paid, loan fees received and not another 25 million Euros? I can't imagine we lost money on this Juan anyway.

But looking at the way Jose has removed a few of the United players from the starting XI to show some tough love now I don't know. Let's blame Mourinho seeing as he isn't here anymore.
April 19, 20179 yr Such a good player, would have been so good in contes system, wasnt good enough to play 90 mins against burnley, but has been bossing it in the CL semis
April 19, 20179 yr Watched him for Juve tonight, in a very, very solid team and........... I still don't rate him! The biggest way I can translate that is I would be absolutely delighted if Tottenham signed him. Unfortunately, they won't. And nor would any other top 6 EPL team. PS. Have Juventus actually brought him yet or is he still a loanee?

Started almost every match for them this season. Jose is hit or miss with talent.
April 20, 20179 yr Shoulda had a goal last night if Khedira could find a pass late on, terrific energy to be fair, just too lightweight for the PL and I don't think he ever settled here understandably.
April 20, 20179 yr I can see why Mourinho wanted to sign him as he has bundles of energy and doesn't mind sticking a foot in for a tackle. Sadly just far too light weight for the prem.
April 20, 20179 yr Whether he goes on to be brilliant for Juve or not, fact is when he was here he could barely pass the ball or stay on his feet, getting rid of him was absolutely the right call.
