Happened in Madrid.  Was depressed for a month apparently, and understandabley so (I feel this way when I lose a pet/animal family member and Ive never run one over by accident!).

 

If I had to fire up Diego I'd just tell him the opposing CB's beat their dogs at home lol think he might literally rip a head off or two.

 

Edit:  Would like to see Diego come one in second half.  Its a friendly so a great time to put Falcao into the driver seat and rest Costa for when it matters, in my opinion

We need him fit and red card free, so as much as I love the thought of saying "hey Diego, see that guy?  He hates dogs!" I think Diego would serve a lot of time suspended after that

Hope he plays more than last season,good thing is that Drogba and Remy stepped up when needed.This season we have Remy and Falcao as cover which is good enough i think.

Until his hamstring issue is fixed (so far doesn't look like there is one) them I doubt it.

If surgery was an option it would have been taken by now because this is 15 months straight of the same injury.

Maybe we can change his name to Diego "sicknote" Costa on the forum topic lol. I genuinely do worry that he's going to become a chronic crock which isn't what we want seeing as we all love him so much. Here's hoping they resolve the issue somehow, got to admit our medical team are pretty special so if anyone can fix it then it will be us. I remember reading somewhere the Fabregas was playing the start of the season pain free for the first time in years thanks to our medical team.

On that bombshell I'm off to read Diego's book.....that's not a plug!

Strange post...

I don't think a hamstring strain or pull is "In the head", it's very much a real issue and one which has hampered him since the end of the 13/14 season at Atletico.

He had to be subbed in a CL final...I'm sure that wasn't because he wanted out but rather because he couldn't run anymore without excruciating pain.

This sounds like classic troll bait but here we go. I don't think it's an embarrassment to José, I don't think

he can't predict the future fitness of players, only go on advice of Chelsea medical team. I agree that for some players

who suffer a long term/reoccurring injury sometimes it becomes a mental issue. Let's hope Costa doesn't become a

victim of that with time.

Are we really at the point where we're writing of Costa injury wise because he sat out a friendly as a precaution?

Until his hamstring issue is fixed (so far doesn't look like there is one) them I doubt it.

It's not just a friendly though mate, he's missed plenty of games like this

It's really not that simple. You can't just have surgery on a hamstring. 

Unfortunately I think we have seen the best of Costa already, last season was as good as it gets.
