March 14, 201610 yr Yes, Aubameyang wants to go to R Madrid although there is no agreement yet between Dortmund and RM: http://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2016/03/14/56e6be97ca4741ec5f8b4647.html He also discards going to PSG. My guess is that Chelsea has no possibilities to attract this player at the moment, but you never know.
March 14, 201610 yr I didnt know he was now banned for two league games! "2 Match Ban Set to serve a two-match suspension for the red card received for two bookable offences in the FA Cup tie with Everton on 12/3. The regular one-match ban was extended due to Costa's previous FA Charge for violent conduct which previously resulted in a three-match suspension. He will miss the league encounter with West Ham on 19/3 and the 2/4 meeting with Aston Villa. He will return to contention on 9/4 against Swansea"
March 14, 201610 yr nothing change, if we can get good value then time to get rid.. That kind of provocation act won't be the last that we see from costa and it's just too much for me to take at times..
March 14, 201610 yr I just think Costa is superb and if we saw 10 other players with the same hunger last Saturday we would have got a result. His first booking was blatant aggression by Barry.
March 14, 201610 yr I cant believe people still defend costas antics. Everton was the last straw, he was going to bite barry, end of. What sort of roll model is that. Do you want to be proud of the players that represent our club or ashamed of the way they constantly conduct themselves. Twenty goals a season or not, i dont want players like that here. Frankie or zola to name a couple would never act like that, thats what makes those type of players trully great. Edited March 14, 201610 yr by the real shed end
March 14, 201610 yr I cant believe people still defend costas antics. Everton was the last straw, he was going to bite barry, end of. Not to be pedantic, and you are right that he looked like he was going to bite Barry, but like every other Chelsea player on that pitch he didn't actually bite anyone. I think that's what people are basing their opinions on. What sort of roll model is that. Do you want to be proud of the players that represent our club or ashamed of the way they constantly conduct themselves. Now this is where it gets tricky. Yes I do want to be proud of our players and in the last couple of months there's not a player who has represented that shirt with more pride than Diego. Again people are factoring that into their opinions. Twenty goals a season or not, i dont want players like that here. Frankie or zola to name a couple would never act like that, thats what makes those type of players trully great. And here's the really tricky part. How do I put this....good choices of examples there.
March 14, 201610 yr I was checking the BBC re. tonight's games and this was their headline: http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35806578 I am a bit surprised that he's been charged by the FA with Improper Conduct but I need to learn more about the charge. Edited March 14, 201610 yr by Spudulike
March 14, 201610 yr How can you moan about a 'dirty' player that will bang in 20goals/season. If Chelsea went out and signed Suarez in summer (for arguments sake, obviously impossible) would you all be moaning and saying you don't want him? Ron Harris was a dirty player yet he's a Chesea great, nobody cares that he was a hard nut. If people seriously want Costa out they have serious issues. Without Europe we have no chance of attracting another high calibre striker. Lacazette won't leave a champions league side in Dortmund and if he does it certainly won't be for Chelsea. Icardi has been a shadow of himself last year and at the end of the day he's just a poacher, only as good as those feeding him. Lacazette has been sh*te since Fekir has been injured and he can't rely on him anymore. Morata is not prolific, goals in 27 games this year? behave. Chopper was hard player in an era were hard tackles were the norm. He would never have gone to bite someone, big difference and that goes too for all the hard players of his time.
March 14, 201610 yr So on top of his existing mandatory 2 game ban he's likely to get at least another game ban or more for not leaving the pitch. Time for Pato to show he can step up Edited March 14, 201610 yr by Zola
March 14, 201610 yr So on top of his existing mandatory 2 game ban he's likely to get at least another game ban or more for not leaving the pitch. Time for Pato to show he can step up Where did you get your quote from? The official FA statement says 1 game for the red and 1 for 'misconduct' whatever the hell that is.
March 14, 201610 yr I was actually on the fantasy league game earlier and he was marked red late morning for two gane suspension haha. I assumed this further charge was an additional to the 2 as it east on any news sites by that stage apart from fantasy scout when I Google his suspension. Odd that it is already on fantasy game but not news haha. 2 game ban then..
March 14, 201610 yr ShedEnder91, I understand what you're saying about fight and passion but I disagree where Diego is concerned. I don't see him showing passion for the club, I see him being a man that loves to try to hurt people by being dirty rather than being tough, I see a man that when he's there he wants to charge around 100 miles an hour leaving boots and elbows in on people, and I see a man that is "not there" far too often. That's my take on it, I'm not trying to change your mind just offering a different perspective on it. He gets kicked lumps out of every match. I'm not saying he's an innocent character, far from it in fact but let's not act like it's all his doing. Hes a very good player with aggression which sometimes he oversteps but I'd rather see more controlled aggression from him.

Hes a very good player with aggression which sometimes he oversteps but I'd rather see more controlled aggression from him. Thing is he reacts so badly to it. Why wouldn't you do that if you were playing against him? Everyone gets at least one big crunch on him....and there's a very real chance he'll lose his cool and get sent off. Dirty tactic, but effective none the less
March 14, 201610 yr Thing is he reacts so badly to it. Why wouldn't you do that if you were playing against him? Everyone gets at least one big crunch on him....and there's a very real chance he'll lose his cool and get sent off. Dirty tactic, but effective none the less So you have to work that round the other way when he's up to his antics. It's dirty but effective nonetheless, thanks to him we got six points against Arsenal this season. This isn't aimed at you Zola but I remember on here and in general when people wanted Drogba out because of his slap on Vidic in the Champions League final which invariably cost us our first title. If he does bite someone then that's the point where I will say enough is enough and that's out of line but until that moment, I will support him because since Hiddink's arrival, he's been far and away our best player and we would be much further down the table without him and looking over our shoulder.
March 14, 201610 yr probably get a 2 or 3 game ban now with today's trumped up charges from the FA as there's only 10 games left that's nearly a 3rd he will miss, that pisses me off more than anything else not the way the ref lost control of the situation by allowing the most carded player in prem history to get away with a few hostile and deliberate nasty tackles on Costa early on in his defence Costa seems to be one of only 2 or 3 players that actually show up and put a shift in currently Its all Mourinho's fault - he 'bought' him, he 'encouraged' him to play week in and week out, he suggested he score 'lots' of goals and persuaded him to 'drop' his gentlemanly like attitude on the pitch and replace it with a right horrible C## persona (I don't know this, but am making it up to suit my character assassination of JM & DC) that is such an awful role model to my youngest daughter and all the other little kids watching on TV.
March 14, 201610 yr The season's over anyway, his red card didn't bother me. At least Traore will get to play. Will Pato even play??
March 14, 201610 yr what are they charging him with? pretending to bite or thinking of it? bunch of anti chelsea cnuts
March 14, 201610 yr I think Costa may well return to Spain over the summer. He looks fed up getting kicked every week, a bit like Hazard. His improper conduct charge relates to an allegation that he spat towards the referee when he was dismissed and that at half time he made a gesture towards Everton fans while leaving the pitch. Edited March 14, 201610 yr by carrickblue
March 14, 201610 yr The offensive gesture. Or more to the point, an alleged/apparent offensive gesture surely ? For goodness sake someone must have been going out of their way to capture that image and make a meal of it. If you want really ugly and offensive gestures you only need to look on the internet for plenty of examples that show 'fans' in the crowd at grounds around the country week in, week out. Edited March 14, 201610 yr by WeatherMan
March 14, 201610 yr The offensive gesture. Since when did the FA come to the view that the peace hand signal constitutes improper conduct? Since when did they come to the view that giving a fellow player & an openmouthed kiss on the neck also constitutes improper conduct? Hilarious. I think it's high time that they go after the goal celebrations next. I mean grown men showing affection for one another....outrageous!
