Didn't he recently just sign an extension with you lot? Would have to be somewhere around Bale level, if not more, to buy him, I'd imagine.

Real Madrid would have to break the fee they paid for Gareth Bale to get him. We're talking at least £100m. 

Would be stupid to sell him for any price, just look what has happened to Tottenham and Liverpool after Modric + Bale and Suarez left them.

I think it comes down to whether hazard wants to go. I think he will be here for at least another 2 years, but I don't think we would block a move if that's what he wanted, although I don't expect the club to accept anything under £100m for him.

I'm not saying he is worth that, but we don't need the money, we're one of the biggest clubs in the world and I think that's how much it would take for us to sell him.

Personally I wouldn't sell him for any price, because in today's market, he is irreplaceable.

If Zidane tries to lure Hazard away I'll headbutt him, see how he likes it.

Presumably he's playing on the fact that Hazard has previously named Zidane as a footballing idol. With all due respect to the man I think one big collective middle finger might be in order.

We're a growing project moving in the same direction as Hazard's career. It all looks positive, and I can't see him being tempted towards the door this summer. Nice words from Zidane though, whatever the context.

He just signed a new contract. Besides he deserves the praise and attention after this season.

Hazard said he wants to be as good as the Ronaldo's and Messi's. I don't think playing in the same team as them would get him that status. He needs to stay at Chelsea where he has the opportunity to be the main man and win trophies in order to create the legacy he wants.

They can try and sign him if they want but I know Jose won't let him go for anything that isn't extortion. If we were offered 100m we could potentially buy Reus for 35/40mil,Varane for 25m, Gundogan 25m and still have change. But Hazard's value to the team increases with every game.

Hazard is staying. Bring in a couple more superstars he can enjoy playing with. Turn this Chelsea into the best, most successful club side there has ever been. Hazard leaving? Get lost!

Indeed every player does have a price, and I imagine that we would be talking in excess of £100 million before we even considered it. Would absolutely without question shatter any existing world record transfer fee. Question is, if, say, an offer of over £100 million was forthcoming, would it represent good business?

 

If I was on the board at Chelsea I'd be telling Real Madrid that unless they're prepared to pony up closer to £200 million for the lad then they can go and f**k themselves. 

 

People give Chelsea a hard time for splashing the cash, similarly City and in my opinion this criticism is unfair when you look at it in the context of Real Madrid's transfer exploits - they're f**king bullies and need put in their place.

Just hate how they drop these little things into the press with the sole intention of turning a player's head. It's not on and they get away with murder in the transfer market, absolutely odious club. 

 

I can see eden playing for them one day but at the moment he is just too integral to our plans. I'm fairly confident that Jose has had many a chat with him one to one, discussing the possibilities for him with chelsea and his potential to develop into one of the world's best ever. 

 

Just hope the bright lights of madrid arent too tempting for him to start making noises about wanting to leave. Would be surprising given his contract extension recently, but stranger things have happened. 

 

Hope his buy out clause is set at £10 billion. 

I'm honestly not at all worried about this...for now. In 2 years' time it wouldn't surprise me if we sell him to RM for £100m or so. But all the 'noises' coming out of the papers and from the lad himself are that he's more than happy to be here and wants to elevate himself to the levels of Messi and Ronaldo at Chelsea.

I know we have seen a few recent player departures (e.g. Mata, Luiz, Schurrle, de Bruyne, Sturridge) that the fans were none too happy about, but how many of them were genuinely key players at the point that they left? Clearly management had reservations about all of them, and it's not as if we weren't appropriately compensated!

Unless Hazard himself wants to go he won't be leaving us.

We are a very well run club who do not require to sell our best players and that's a huge bonus.

However we know Hazard idols Zidane and most European players dream of playing for Madrid and like Ronlado if they come calling and the player want's it then the writing is on the wall IMO.
