July 27, 201510 yr Looked brilliant yesterday when he came on. Really hungry and wouldn't give up on a ball. I'm 100% behind him as I am with any player that pulls on a Chelsea shirt.Supporters with short memories can say what they want to but Torres looked the same when he joined. A striker shorn of some confidence but working hard and making great runs. Quite some way from the striker who eventually left. The difference is being fed by Kalou, Malouda and Sturridge vs Hazard, Cesc, Willian etc. It will be tough but he won't find better conditions to improve himself.
July 27, 201510 yr Everybody is behind him, there's no reason not to be. I wasn't in favor of his transfer but now that he's here, we might as well support him because there's absolutely no point in not supporting him. And i also think everybody would just love to see Falcao bang in goals under Mourinho so we can rub LVG/Man U's nose in it.I'm hoping he is now broken into Prem at ManU and now he starts to deliver.
July 27, 201510 yr I think he will do well for us. And he will also be an asset from the penalty spot if we were to get involved in a shoot-out in CL, FA or LC.
July 27, 201510 yr People talk like falcao did nothing at an below par utd, but in his first season he scored 4 goals, got 4 assists and had 29 shots at goal. I know it's not great, but it's not awful either considering he came to a new league, was thrown in the reserves (no good for any player, especially a player of his calibre), didn't have a great deal of appearances, and had pressure put on him to deliver from the get go amongst an unsettled utd side and was playing under a manager that obviously had little belief in him. In my opinion, i think he'll flourish under mourinho in this team, and i am willing to put my neck on the line and say he could well push costa out of the first team at some point.
July 27, 201510 yr Nah it was awful, considering the attacking players he had feeding him like Rooney, RVP, Di Maria, Mata and so on. No point dressing it up to be anything different, he was a huge disappointment last season and just because we signed him it does not change that IMO.

They really didn't, and still don't have good enough creativity in their first team imo.
July 27, 201510 yr I don't think Rooney is shot unfortunatly. I can actually see him having a great season for them again as he'll be played as the striker all season.

I can actually see him having a great season for them again as he'll be played as the striker all season. he is a year older with a similar creativity next season, but with the loss of di maria will be a big one for utd lets not think it won't be. stats for rooney http://www.whoscored.com/Players/3859/ stats for falcao http://www.whoscored.com/Players/18701/ despite having nearly twice as many shots per game as falcao, and over double the mins of playing time, rooney only managed 8 more goals and 1 more assist than falcao. i don't know how you can claim he'll be better next season tbh when arguably their best attacking midfielder will be going to PSG.

July 27, 201510 yr yeah sure, but even so both rooney and van persie had more appearances and neither of their stats are impressive from last season, so it's unfair for people to label falcao a flop, when arguably two of the more accomplished premier league forwards were not that much better themselves. i think people just need a scapegoat sometimes and it's falcao who picked up the flack for a poor season for utd's standards.

Rooney got 14 goals and 6 assists playing as an attacking midfielder. I think those stats are pretty good to be honest, especially when they are coming from someone who isn't a midfielder. Also, everybody knows that Van Persie isn't the same player anymore, that is why he was sold to Fenerbahce. Falcao not being able to do better than Van Persie, a player that is past his best, is actually pretty worrying. There is no point pretending here, Falcao was terrible last season. Hopefully it was just a blip season from Falcao and we get to see his best qualities again in a Chelsea shirt. I can't say i am optimistic though, it's very rare for a player to regain their abilities after the injury and season he has just had at his age.

July 28, 201510 yr If Falcao and Remy can both push 7-10 league goals each I'd be delighted. Its unlikely, as a fully fit, non suspended Costa is the undoubted number 1 so Falcao and or Remy will only get 15-20mins here and there but it would be excellent if either of them could push double figures in the league.
July 28, 201510 yr I actually think Falcao will feature quite a bit next season. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see us play 2 up top against some of the "smaller" teams in the league. I think it's something worth trying anyway - playing Costa and one of Remy/ Falcao up top. Certainly think we will see something like if we are chasing. I agree with Delnino - if Falcao scores 5-10 goals and we win the league again, then it has to be considered a success.
