November 10, 201510 yr Patrick Vieira appointed head coach of New York FC. Interesting move by City, using their link to their sister to club to develop a highly coach in a relatively low risk environment. I read somewhere that Celtic are thinking of creating a US sister club purely to cash in on the Irish-American thing. I wonder if Chelsea have any plans in that direction? As with this Vieira move it would allow us to think about coaching and managerial development.
November 10, 201510 yr I read a stat today that eight managers have been sacked already in the Championship. That's staggering after only a couple of months! Is the new TV money next season in the Premier League making owner's trigger fingers itchy?
November 11, 201510 yr talking about neymar, anyone see this goal? f**king hell that was ridiculous. https://streamable.com/5gyb He is an exception talent
November 12, 201510 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34801778 Arsene Wenger: Arsenal manager asked to explain doping comments Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been asked to explain his comments on doping to the Football Association. Wenger, 66, said this week he had "never injected my players to make them better" but there had been teams he had faced not "in that frame of mind". He was speaking in a L'Equipe interview after a Dinamo Zagreb player failed a drug test following September's Champions League win over Arsenal. The FA has invited Wenger to provide any further information he may have. Arsenal were beaten 2-1 in Zagreb before midfielder Arijan Ademi, who played in the game for the Croatian side, failed a drugs test. His 'B' sample is still being investigated but if that is also positive, the player could face a ban. Wenger has long been an advocate of making advances in drug testing. "I try to be faithful to the values that I find important in life and to transmit them to others," the Frenchman said. "In 30 years of my coaching career, I never got one of my players injected to be more efficient." The FA said in a statement: "The FA, in conjunction with United Kingdom Anti-Doping (Ukad), operates one of the most comprehensive anti-doping testing programmes in the world. "We have exceptionally few cases of positive tests for performance-enhancing drugs, which reflects the findings from drug-testing in football worldwide. "All positive cases for Wada-prohibited substances are published by Ukad and the FA." What's the betting that he'll get a slap on the wrist and nothing more.
November 13, 201510 yr Ibrahimovic thinks he has put France and Sweden on the map. The guy is an ass and so full of himself. Sweden are worse now than they ever were before. There were some really good Swedish players before Ibrahimovic became a top player. I also don't know how he thinks he put France on the map either. France have had some of the best players to play the game. They have also won a world cup and 2 European championships. If he is talking about the French league then he is wrong again. It's a one team league, nobody can compete with PSG's wealth, the French league is probably worse off now than it was before. After PSG, no French team does much in Europe. French teams have never really been that good in Euriope, but in the past they at least had teams that could compete. Marseille and Lyon would more often than not give you a good game. They also used to produce some really good players, you rarely see great players coming out of France anymore. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34804659
November 13, 201510 yr Famous Anfield atmosphere.....not so much http://www.espnfc.us/barclays-premier-league/23/blog/post/2694668/premier-league-fan-survey-on-atmosphere-at-grounds

Good player but a complete ass.
November 14, 201510 yr There's a charity match on at old Trafford today which should be pretty interesting. Scholes, Giggs, Terry, Zidane, Ronaldinho and many other former heavyweights are taking part. Even though it's just a charity match it'll be great to be able to see Scholes and Zidane play again.
November 14, 201510 yr It's also interesting that Terry is playing considering he's still a PL footballer...
November 14, 201510 yr Is that on mutv? Unfortunately not. I think the Saturday 3pm rule still applies.

Every so often they had updates of the game on TalkSport, they said Figo had a shot and Ashley Cole cleared it off the line......i don't think any player has been better at clearing off the line than Ashley Cole. My thoughts exactly. This is my favourite Ashley Cole clearance (the first leg against Barcelona in 2012). Edited November 15, 201510 yr by Zinc
November 16, 201510 yr Ashley Cole looked pissed off conceding in a charity match with his team 2 up. I think that tells you all you need to know about him.
November 16, 201510 yr I'd have Cole back as a squad player I think we were a little to quick to get rid personally Edited November 16, 201510 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
November 16, 201510 yr My thoughts exactly. This is my favourite Ashley Cole clearance (the first leg against Barcelona in 2012). Great clearance, but I prefer the one away against Napoli! We were 3-1 down and a fourth would probably have buried us. It was the last minute and a shot was going in, until Cole instinctively blocked it off the line. Would have been so different if he hadn't.
November 16, 201510 yr If Fabregas had not tried that flashy little dink he would have easily scored.

Man, there was so many what if's in that Champions League season. If there is a football god then he was on our side in 2012.
November 16, 201510 yr https://www.facebook.com/LFC4LYF14/ Gotta love the Kopities, they are not much better off than us but still laugh. lol.
November 17, 201510 yr Priceless clearance from Ashley Cole there, it really was. What struck watching those highlights was how abysmal David Luiz was that night. He provided some special moments for sure and I'll always remember him fondly. But I have to say I'm very glad that we sold him.
