Even the table collapsed after hearing the kind of questions asked by journalists these days.

An omen? Will the same thing happen to their league table status as well?

I'm half watching Salford City v Notts County on BBC2. In the build up I discovered that Salford City played in orange and black with a matching badge before some ex United players bought the club. Why change the club colours? There's the official Man United the spin off club FC United of Manchester and now Salford City have basically become a Man Utd spin off. How many Man Utd's does Manchester need?

I really really can't fathom why they needed to change to United's colours. The sh*t that went down with Cardiff yet not a word of criticism for the 'class of 92'. I actually noticed a couple of Salford fans wearing tangerine shirts. A mini protest?

And the BBC comentary is so sycophantic. Any Notts County fan watching this must be getting pretty pissed off. Documentary this, documentary that. Bleuugghhh.

Ake has made the shortlist for the Golden Boy award, fantastic achievement considering the names he's up against.

To add to that, RLC and Pasalic have been nominated too.

Tough list, but it's already something to be proud of to be nominated. All the best to them.

They are a fairly new club and only semi professional but money talks I suppose !!

It would be good to see them progress still further and maybe even get a home tie against one of the Premiership teams. If it's Arsenal, I can see the headlines now... 'Arsene Wenger Accuses Salford City Owners Of Financial Doping.'

I can't speak much for the players in the foreign leagues, but in terms of premiership I'd say Bellerin. He's impressed me the most out of the ones on this list.

Leicester is doing something special this season.

There is always one team each season that finds themselves higher than anybody thought they would be. By the end i don't expect Leicester to be any higher than 8th. That would still be a good achievement for them though.

Wasn't it west ham last season that was top 4 until Xmas?

Yes or no, would you trade Costa for Vardy?

It's not as silly a question as some might think and united fans are asking the same question but with Rooney.

No, the guy will be 29 in January and he's playing in a system that suits his style of football. I don't think he would work in our system at all to be honest.

You have those who eliminate every logical choice before claiming racism

and you have those who look to find any possible excuse to justify claims of racism.

and if you have a professional poisition that depends on racism to stay relevant (and employed), which of those two do you think they are likely to be?

edit:  Kind of like sexist Chelsea because of the Eva thing..... conveniently ignoring the fact ( I think ) that Chelsea are the only BPL club to have a woman in a position of prominence on game days.  The only other women as prominent I can think of are: Karen Brady (Chairman, hence why i went with game day prominence), Sian Massey (seemed the most competent official in ages, where has she gone?) and that drunk lady at Norwich (LOL).

And on top of that all of the other club supporters are now singing Eva's name in the stands and are up in arms over the situation and her sacking... yet she was subjected to sexist abuse from all of our opponents supporters every time she ran onto the pitch

Yeah and we should also trade Jeff Schlupp for Hazard. Should we swap Cesc for Danny Drinkwater? and Mark Albrighton I would take over Pedro. That would be a team to win the Champions League.

Sorry but that is a silly question. We've had a bad start to the season and are lacking confidence whilst Leicester have started well but poor form aside Costa is in a completely different bracket to Vardy

Looks like a fm short list!

Liverpool sign Alexandre Pato - decent striker with a good goal scoring record.

Although on loan at Sao Paulo since last year, Pato is a Corinthians player and, according to their president, Roberto de Andrade, the Merseyside club have agreed with them on a price for the 26-year-old’s services, which is said to be £14.3m

De Andrade told Tutto Mercato Web: "There is an agreement in principle with Liverpool for the transfer in the coming weeks. Pato had long expressed a desire to return to Europe.

"Liverpool await, there are a few missing details, but Klopp will have a new reinforcement and for Pato the Premier League will be a new springboard."

Pato previously played in Europe for AC Milan, where from 2007-12, he netted 51 goals in 117 appearances. He has represented the Brazilian national side on 27 occasions with a return of 10 goals.

There's no need to be so snobbish towards a player you think is below you. The truth is that he has outperformed everyone of your players this season. I genuinely think he is different to the likes of lallana, lambert, Michu etc who were good one season then became rubbish the next. He is clearly a very good finisher and works tirelessly.

I'm not saying he is better than Costa or Rooney, though on form he is, but that it is not as silly a question as you made it out to be.

You're not saying he is better than Vardy, but you are asking if we would swap him, probably is a silly question then tbf.

It's not Championship manager, you don't just swap a player on a whim because of form over the last 12 games.

You're being too literal about it. I didn't mean, in January, would you propose a swap deal.

Stoke not the only side using FM09 to scout players I see.

Exactly.

It's a fairly stupid topic.

....

They don't. It was all a PR stunt by his brazilian club.

An interesting story from today's Sunday Times concerning current and former footballers having made some rash investments with, for some, very serious consequences: http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/news/uk_news/National/article1630337.ece

I'm sorry it's not a full article (paywall) but the story will be in other papers from tomorrow onwards. One poor purchase was that of 14 boat docks in Florida, each worth £65K. However some of them are worthless as the residents have no access to the waterside,
