My poor Shrewsbury-supporting son was so disappointed with the match last night.  He had said beforehand he just wanted to get something enjoyable out of it and he said there was nothing at all.  From the first minute he thought it was awful.  Even the Man U fans were bad he thought, not as good as Chelsea's last year although he thought Chelsea's were easier to wind up!  He left at 3-0 completely fed-up and went down the pub instead.  I don't think I've ever known him leave a match early before; but in fact he said they had to open the gate for him to leave as he thought he was the first one to leave.  He came home pretty pissed (I meant in the English sense of the word, but actually also in the American sense too).

I must say, I thought Shrewsbury looked terrible, frightened to death whenever they got the ball and making stupid, unforced errors with almost every touch.  Whereas against us last year, they tried hard and put a good shift in.

And now poor Strawberry have PTSD, players' traumatic Shrek disorder.

Your poor boy BQ, but his mum loves him.

I'm expecting Barcelona to finish the tie in the first leg, 3-1 Barcelona, Arsenal will never recover from that.

If Barcelona are struggling to score ( unlikely but you never know ) then i'm sure the ref will pull out a red card for an Arsenal player at some point.

Sick to death of reading Arsenal players talking about their plan to beat Barca. Just go and f**king do it! Honestly is there a club who talk more about doing stuff than actually doing it?

The selfie taking will be on a whole new scale if they get a result tonight.

Woofters.

I'm basically gonna just get my cock out tonight and enjoy the show

3-0 to Barca

Same.

Gonna order a burger and chips too.

Arsenal Fan TV will be good tonight.

Wooo lots to look forward to tonight then! Claude will be a good laugh to watch too

I swing one way and the other on this but thinking about it, I think it is a MUST.

I know the argument against was a team like Wigan or Portsmouth winning the FA Cup (the last two smaller clubs to do so) and then we run the risk of having our numbers reduced if they get knocked out early (as is likely to happen). But I think the pro's far outweigh the cons. To be honest, other than Wigan and Pompey you would have to go right back to 1988 which was the last time another "small" club won it, Wimbledon - unless you want to consider Spurs & Everton small clubs!

I totally agree, Top 3 get CL football and all the time there is a 4th spot available it goes to the FA Cup winners. If the FA Cup winner happens to be in the Top 3 (which is often the case) then it could go to 4th spot rather than runners up or better still, the 4th spot and runner up could have a play off - what a massive game that would be!

Come on, this HAS to happen!

The play off idea would probably work. It would appease the premier league still giving four slots to play for and give a big prize for a good cup run. The match would no doubt attract a good crowd and also have interest worldwide for a tv audience, keeping the money is everything brigade happy.

I would also like to see a rule whereby maybe seven players of the team that played in the cup tie, played in the following league fixture, injury permitting. I would keep replays, pity the police put a stop to these requiring ten days notice as sometimes it did produce epic ties.

Gooners are getting a bit carried away. Chap at work today was urging me to put money on Sanchez scoring their first goal in a 2-1 Arsenal win. Ha! (I hope I am not tempting fate)...

Think Arsenal will draw tonight.

Go in to the second leg with tepid optimism.

Then get the granny smashed out of them.

Ah, give them hope and then - blam! Cruel but effective.

Yea, they are obsessed with selfies, just like they were obsessed with snoods a few years ago and no one could work out why they were wearing them all the time, the common theme is Wenger's players have always been soft little prima donna's.
