I understand that, but why would someone of his profile want to get himself involved in a relegation scrap? If he waited until the end of the season he would've probably been a frontrunner for the Valencia job.

Zero risk, high reward and he'll be well paid for it, plus I imagine there's a huge bonus at the end. If there isn't a break-clause in summer I'd be massively surprised because he's negotiating from a position of power.

Looking at it objectively, Rafa is probbarly the last guy you want going there. He is particularly and wants full control, I just cannot see it working out.

On the the other hand, maybe they need a "big" name to sort the mess out.

i must be missing something because i think he is a good coach, won us a trophy and got us in the CL whilst everybody hated him, except the players who must of thought he was al right as they performed half decent under him. He is one of the few coaches to give mourinho a hard time as well. I think newcastle have had a right result, gone from one of the worst coaches ever to a proven one.

That's a fair assessment imo. My surprise is Benitez taking the risk in managing a team as (apparently) bad as Newcastle with so few games to go. I think he can turn their season around but they seem poorly motivated and the fans can turn against a manager quickly too. Good luck to him but he's taking a chance.

Raffa wor gaffa...

Where does everyone think Zlatan will end up next season?

I think it's either to us, United, Milan or he'll stay at PSG

Last thing we need is his ego, he'd walk in and demand to be our first choice striker even if Costa was scoring weekly hat tricks. Player power is the opposite of what we need right now.

Why on earth would he join us?

norwich are horrendous, bamford has no chance of doing anything today, the ball is never anywhere near him

lmfao, just hit the bar with a blinding effort.
