Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016

That was so dull! No effort from City at all!

And to think of the pulsating match against Barca we had back in 2012 for a place in the final. We poured our blood, sweat and tears into that.

City were already on the beach. Pathetic.

What a lifeless game. Real playing at half pace and City showing neither skill or desire. You wouldn't have thought that was their biggest Champions League game of all time.

BT must wish they'd televised Twister. They'd have more to talk about.

Would love to hear McManaman's in depth analysis of Twister tbf

That was pathetic by city, going out with barely even a whimper. And if I was a city defender I would kick the sh*t out of De bruyne for that free kick at the and.

I know he's probably pissed off and gutted, but Joe Hart is chatting total bollocks in his post match interview.

Yep. It wasn't a battle of wits - City had no Plan B, no extra gear.

Pretty limp performance from City, considering they were one goal from a first ever CL final and Real looked shaky near the end. Why not just pile forward and go for it? All they needed was one lucky deflection. Real just did the bare minimum to win. I hope Atletico go on and win it now.

They may as well have not bothered to turn up for the semi final. In both legs they offered nothing. If they wanted to, Real Madrid could have easily scored more.

The worst thing about it was that there wasn't even signs that players were getting frustrated. No reaction to free kicks against them, they didn't get more people forward, they didn't even try desperate shots.

The amount those travelling fans must have paid to watch a game where none of the players seemed to notice or care that it was their biggest ever Champions League game.

Perhaps when Kompany came off they were void of their true leader. When we lost (stupidly on his part) our captain in 2012 we had Lamps, Cech, Ash, Dids to name a few to step into that role.

Feel a bit for those City fans who travelled, they're the ones who made the effort today, their players let them down.

Impressed by Real Madrid, looked different class to city (not saying much)...Isco, modric, bale top draw, compensating for a clearly unfit Ronaldo...city beat two average sides to get to the last four and then were shown to be mediocre themselves...

also, anyone noticing how de Bruyne never turns up for the big games?

As for BT sport's coverage, the commentators sounded like the guys who commentate when they haven't been at the game and do it afterwards..but like the old season reviews you used to get..bt's coverage is lame, let's be honest

City aren't a good side, simple as that...just look at where they are in the table. Why is anyone surprised by this result or performance?

BT have 2 outstanding shows, the European Football Show and the Champions League goals show.

The common theme between the two.... not a washed up footballer in sight. Just journo's that are experts on their leagues.

City bottled it pure and simple.

They don't have the metal to oust the best in Europe. Look at us when we were down to 10 men and losing our captain, we still beat the best side in Europe and then beat the second best team in their own patch missing half our first team.

City didn't even attack tonight, a pot shot from Aguero after 70 odd minutes and that was it, the fact he played most of his football near the half way line tells its own story. Utterly gutless display from that lot, they didn't even try to score in the last 10 minutes when a single goal would have taken them to a European final. I'm glad they didn't go through though, they are a terrible side to watch. The games against PSG and Madrid were the worst games I have seen this season.

Atletico will win it

Lol he should've been subbed ages ago, City lost the midfield battle because of him and Aguero comes deep to do his job, which left nobody up top = no threat.

I also read that he said he thought he was signing for United when his agent told him about Man City, implying he never knew City existed.. This guy is just taking the piss non stop.

Where was the passion from city? Christ. So annoying we were so bad this season as I think we would have given real a game. Real are overrated imo, no wonder they want hazard. Bale scores a goal from a fecking cross lol apart from that they weren't impressive. I see atletico winning the cl this year.

no, real have looked quite average since the latter end of ancelotti's tenure, including in the league. I just think they have a quite a few overrated players. however, their defence is actually quite good though. I like ramos and pepe as centre backs, and marcelo as a full back too; they are usually fairly solid.
