I get tired of reading about United constantly being referenced by the Press. I have Chelsea as my preset club on sky updates yet get updates on United's transfer activity....don't really get it.

I feel he is going to be worth every penny. His experience is unrivalled. 3 CL trophies and a bunch of goals scored in finals. His workrate is excellent. Hope it is finalized soon. Would love to see him at WBA.

After spending so much time at the same club, watching football from the sidelines, I would think he will be very enthusiastic to prove himself on the pitch, away from the best player, and the best team in the world. I'm sure he's really looking forward to this new chapter in his life.

He's 28 and just 5 ft 6 inches tall in a very physically demanding PL.

This signing has 'definitely' given us all a much needed lift. Personally, I'm quite excited about it ... but of course, there are no guarantees.

Pedro solves a hell of a lot. Our wingers lacked a left footer and Pedro is very good with both feet. Our wingers lacked a guy who can stretch play as well as create and Pedro can do that, our winger options lacked a goalscorer other than Hazard and Pedro can do that as well. He's great at hassling players and pressing when the team lose possession as well. Clearly Mourinho is trying a more attacking side to what he currently has and even if he wasn't against the buses Pedro's hassling of players will be much appreciated.

 

We also have the choice of never playing Falcao again as Pedro can play up top although we should play Falcao so Mendes can get us some cheap south americans from Portugal and Spain.

Would love to see him at WBA.

What pedro will bring to the team is that ability to get on the end of things. He is a very good finisher, and like schurrle, he makes those runs in behind that give the likes of fabregas something to aim for.

I think hazard, Oscar, and willian are guilty at times of not getting in the box enough, they like to be the ones making the assist and getting involved in the build up, rather than sticking the ball in the net. Hazard maybe to a lesser extent, and I think pedro's movement will give costa a little more room to operate aswell.

 

Good points. Pedro gives us an 'out' ball that we currently don't have, someone who can use his blistering pace to get in behind and to stretch the defence. This in turn might see Willian play more as the no.10, where for me he is far more effective in an attacking sense. Also that will put more pressure on Oscar to perform, who currently is the no.10 by default because of the composition of our squad. 

 

I think Pedro will be a solid signing. At the age of 28 I don't see him exploding onto the scene but he could be a very valuable player nevertheless, someone that could conceivably 10 or so goals and provide a handful of assists too. 

 

It would be ideal, now, if Everton could take Moses off us as part of the Stones deal. That would clear the logjam that we have at RW and also facilitate the negotiations for John Stones.
