The transfer market in terms of world class players available this summer has been sh*t.  No quality out there and mediocre players being snapped up by the likes of Loverpool and Man U. I don't think any of the players available would help us.  Stones would have learned his trade this year under the guidance of Terry so he can be the first choice next season.   The only way we could have attracted players would be to spend a bucket load of cash and Roman won't be doing that any time soon.   I think it will be a 'grin and bear it' season this year and maybe pick up an FA Cup or something.  With this squad - with or without Stones - will find it difficult to retain our title with the same squad has history has shown.

It's also not only the most expensive players who are unavailable. There simply is little value in the current market, especially for a team with our starting xi. Both City and United badly need players across the board but you only have to see how hard it is for them to find decent players.

In the guardian he also said that we are a bit limited but he has no doubt the club will add a couple of players to the squad

Have to say he's really impressed me so far today, you can see he has class.

I think we'll get him on close to deadline day. I can't imagine thatt we've gone through all this and the club not pushing it through.

There's no way he would have played yesterday if this was the case.

I just think that Everton would have been mor adamant about not selling him if they weren't. Also they can't make it look like they sold him easily.
