January 6, 20206 yr I think he's off, got to say though he's had two great seasons here and he was excellent in the last title win, absolutely excellent. I wasn't that keen on bringing him over and he was pants when he first came besides his debut, but he couldn't have came at a worse time, I grown to love him after that. I'll never forget that goal against Everton, a game we really needed to win to seal the title, he just got the ball, turned around and boom, top corner, he was untouchable that season.
January 6, 20206 yr Like him, always have. After being part of the greatest team of all time and achieving absolutely everything he had every excuse to see coming here as one final pay day while he winds down but he done the exact opposite, he came here with the mentality of a kid who still had it all to prove, which was remarkable. To put that into context imagine us playing for Chelsea and (insert your national team here) winning and achieving everything and after that you went to Villarreal at 28. He's not a tier A legend but I'd certainly put him in the category below alongside Ballack, Anelka etc al.

I too have been impressed by his attitude and fitness despite winning so much silverware at his previous club. Not sure why yet facially looks different this season as though he has aged few years or has something on his mind.

Hang on there, you didn't just compare the gap between us and Barca to us and Villarreal did you?? He signed for the defending champions! But yeah his effort level is always at 100%, even when that works against him.

I was making the point of playing for your boyhood club for your whole life win everything then sign for another club abroad many will naturally phone it in a bit.

Hmm I don't know, there was plenty of motivation for him to do well here. Nonetheless I think even if he signed for pre-poch Spurs which is like the PL's Villarreal he would still put in a shift. I can't come up with a good example because his parallel is like Sanchez, who actually did phone it in lol but that was different circumstances. Maybe pick a class of 92 player at 28 years old and say he moved to... Bayern for example, it's not really retirement time yet.
January 7, 20206 yr I will remember him as a very good player for Chelsea, he definitely bought something extra to the team with his running behind defence and sharp shooting. For about a season, I rate him ahead of Willian, pity his legs were gone in the last 12 months. Edited January 7, 20206 yr by icecoolguy22
January 7, 20206 yr Was quality in COnte's title winning season. Came up with some important goals in the run-in.

The goal against Everton is a goal I often go back and watch. It was a big goal at an important time. Edited January 7, 20206 yr by Scott Harris
January 7, 20206 yr I'm going to wait to heap well-deserved praise on Pedro until it's confirmed he's leaving.

January 8, 20206 yr If it is the end for him at Chelsea, he's been a great servant for us and was instrumental in our 2016/2017 title success. 194 games, 42 goals.

For me that shows his worth to us in the time he's been here. He may have bad games but it isn't through lack of effort, and that return of goals per game as a winger isn't too bad at all, don't know for sure but i bet it puts Willian in the shade ! Always liked him, played with a smile on his face too.

February 17, 20206 yr Honestly can't wait for the day his contract expires, doesn't even resemble a league 2 footballer at the minute. Would rather see Mount on the wing.

February 18, 20206 yr Could have played Alonso , Mount, or just about anyone else instead of Pedro, he's just past his days. It's really the club's fault not bring in any reinforcement to cover the injuries, and Pedro gets games because there are very little alternatives.
