September 3, 20159 yr Don't know what we are supposed to be agreeing with? Nice interview, seems like a great guy. Don't think i'll ever be able to forgive him though for that knee slide against us.
September 3, 20159 yr Good interview. Loved his comments on the CL final, in which he was heroic. I've read before that he felt ready to move on when PSG came in, so that's nothing new.
September 3, 20159 yr about a year too late w/ this opinion, especially since both parties came out on top - CFC were able to buy Cesc & DC - Side Show Bob got embarrassed by Suarez in the UCL - time to move on bro
September 3, 20159 yr time to move on bro Seemed pretty happy and nothing bad to say about anything, what's he supposed to move on from ?
September 3, 20159 yr put all the money we got for him aside, i would still take him back to partner matic in our midfield tbh. whether he was not as great a cb, he certainly gave us steel in that midfield which has been something we've been missing since he went unfortunately; shame he couldn't stay to collect a EPL medal too. September 3, 20159 yr Seemed pretty happy and nothing bad to say about anything, what's he supposed to move on from ? my post is more to the question if we agree w/ DL leaving CFC - nothing to look back in anger about right? Win-win for both sides right?
September 3, 20159 yr Ah I see. Win-win yeah, and everyones Luiz wig can be repurposed as a Willian wig. Miss his awesome goals and hype celebrations though.
September 3, 20159 yr Ah I see. Win-win yeah, and everyones Luiz wig can be repurposed as a Willian wig. Miss his awesome goals and hype celebrations though. he was a Champion with CFC - that is something to remember him by - I loved that PK he took vs Bayern - looked like he was about the throw the cricket ball - he is a true character
September 3, 20159 yr I really thought he would be next captain and be about for years. Hey ho we did fine without him. Fair play and all the best is all I ca. Say
September 3, 20159 yr You just don't know what you are going to get from Luiz. One day he plays like a top defender in CL final, or score a 40 years goal. On another day, he looked like he never defender before and let people run past him for a laugh. I don't think we pushed him out, a great offer came in, and win-win for both sides. I had no grudge against him even when he scored against us.
September 4, 20159 yr put all the money we got for him aside, i would still take him back to partner matic in our midfield tbh. whether he was not as great a cb, he certainly gave us steel in that midfield which has been something we've been missing since he went unfortunately; shame he couldn't stay to collect a EPL medal too. Him and matic with cesc would be interesting, but I hope we come out better with rlc instead.
September 4, 20159 yr Him and matic with cesc would be interesting, but I hope we come out better with rlc instead. We could have kept the 50 mil and bought wistle for half if we wanted a Cm with steel, you get that with wistle, even the stupid haircut...nevertheless, we have what we have and it's good enough to do everyone if we get our arses in gear
September 4, 20159 yr Hes a superb footballer but is not a defender, in any way, shape or form. He should have been trained to be a CM at an early age, he would probably be one of the best CM's in the world right now if he had been.
September 4, 20159 yr He should be a centre forward really. His physique (and physicality) lends itself towards a target man, as well as his 'be the hero' 'take the team on my shoulders' mindset which doesn't fit the psyche of a centre back particularly well.
September 4, 20159 yr I miss having a character like him around. He seemed to really be genuine. He is unique, whatever you say about he you have to say that. There's a childhood innocence about the way he plays that game that made me quite fond of him. We need more of that in the game imo. Remember how distraught he was when we lost the world club cup or whatever it's called?
September 4, 20159 yr He should have been trained to be a CM at an early age, he would probably be one of the best CM's in the world right now if he had been. Actually he was. He was so bad that he almost gave up football until he was moved to CB to cover for an injury. Maybe the solution is to keep changing his position every week :)
September 4, 20159 yr He used to annoy the sh*t out of me on the pitch at times but what a guy, his personality was great. Clearly a very talented footballer just not a well disciplined one. Edited September 4, 20159 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
September 4, 20159 yr I don't think he is a centre midfielder personally. I think his ability on the ball makes him a unique defender, but those same abilities aren't rare for a midfielder. Centre back is his best position but he will never be world class in any position as he makes too many errors and there's too many lapses in concentration, especially in games that are 'easier' on paper.
September 4, 20159 yr We should just have lined up as if we were down to ten men and allow Luiz to do whatever he wanted; the biggest free role ever known to the sport. -----------------------Cech --------Ivanovic-------Terry-------Cahill Ramires--------Mikel------Lampard-------Cole ------------------------Mata ----------------------------Drogba -------------------------(Luiz)
September 4, 20159 yr I still follow him on twitter etc. But I don't know why as he never posts in English any more so I don't understand a bloody word!
And JFK never got shot, Elvis is still alive and Titus Bramble was better than Bobby Moore. God I like re-writting history. David Luiz and steel in the same sentence? Marvellous.
September 5, 20159 yr Luiz has claimed it was his decision to leave many times before but me thinks he's just trying to save face...there was a lot of talk Jose wanted to get rid, just like with mata, the moment he returned to the club...fact PSG bid silly money, which cfc would not have hesitated to accept, was an added bonus...me thinks this contract offer he keeps going in about, if it ever happened of course, was made before Jose came back
September 5, 20159 yr His brain doesn't match his talent. He has the talent but he plays football like he is playing with his mates in the park. Like someone said you never what you were going to get with him.
