September 20, 201510 yr Right then we go from the opposition that we love to face, beat most of the time and have a lovely time about it, watching them go in to a weeping meltdown about it as we do so; to the side who we just cannot seem to beat on their own patch. We can be in amazing form, awful or somewhere in-between and yet we can never seem to beat them, and they are mostly hopeless right? Watford just went to St. James and beat them 1-2. So we should go there and make it a simple 3 points right? Yeah never seems to be that way, they put in a great display, or good enough one if we are turgid and walk away with the spoils normally. Time to change that, time to show the same fight and desire we did today. Lets be getting about these da*n geodies this time, and lets make sure we come back with much needed back to back league wins.
September 20, 201510 yr Couldn't be a better time to face this lot and push them closer through the relegation trapdoor. Knowing them though. Papiss will probably have a worldy against us. 3 points should be in the bag. Our form is improving. Theirs isn't.
September 20, 201510 yr We'll lose because we never beat Newcastle away from home in the league. I'm hoping my reverse psychology works because I've always been confident about this game in the past but we always let ourselves down. At least Alan Pardew isn't coaching and it's a late kickoff rather than early kickoff time. Edited September 20, 201510 yr by Jezz
September 20, 201510 yr Maybe this will be the game for José to break his Newcastle hoodoo. They have looked terrible so far this season, slightly more terrible than us.
September 20, 201510 yr Weird to think that the last 5 newcastle away matches have been early kickoffs. We lost 3, drew 1, and won 1. I think we'll beat them 3-0 and put in a solid performance.

Alan Fín Pardew lol.
September 20, 201510 yr Do we ever have 3pm kickoffs ? We had one against Palace... We try to forget that match. :p
September 20, 201510 yr Huge game this. Must win if we have any hopes of salvaging a title challenge. Newcastle have been atrocious so we have to take the game to them right from the off.
September 20, 201510 yr Bad record in the past but I'm confident the wolly with the brolly surley won't out smart Jose.
September 20, 201510 yr We are 15th in the league right now with a long way to go to get into the top 3, so we need a result here. Bug**r history. The league has strength in depth this year so climbing over the pack is tough, tough, tough. We HAVE to fix the wing back problem. Our attack is too one dimensional otherwise, although slightly better away from home where we can sometimes fast break. Costa, Pedro, hazard, Oscar, fabregas should be scoring but they aren't really and frankly haven't really looked like it that often. Yes the defence is a problem but that would matter less if we scored a few more. So I'm for playing baba to start with and if Pedro doesn't stood calibrate his shooting radar then I'd play Remy out wide.
September 20, 201510 yr It's about time we win a game at the Barcode's home ground, and I'm confident we will do it this weekend. They are at rock bottom, and they haven't got a manager like Padrew to fall back on. We are finding our rhythm right now, unlikely the corresponding game last year we were just getting tired and losing form. I think we should play pretty much the same 11, if I have my way Baba should play this game. If you can't play a 20M left back against the worst team in the league, you probably shouldn't have signed him. Although we got a clean sheet, Ivanoic was no where near convincing on the day, it's just happened Sanchez was even worse. Given where we are and past history, we should't be lacking motivation going into this game.
September 21, 201510 yr I'll pick a 2-2 draw as Newcastle at home is still a tricky fixture for Chelsea. All the usual suspects will be in the first team.
September 21, 201510 yr Must win!! I hate going up that way, we always seem to find it tough and hopefully there will be a double north east relegation this season but we need to put back to back wins together. I'm gearing my self up for Joses best ever season!! giving tity a 12 point lead and then having the title wrapped up by April, when they said it was over after 5 games. So to make this a reality - WIN
September 21, 201510 yr We should win this because they are rank but no matter how bad the form is going into these games we always seem to struggle in Geordie land. Heart says win but head says draw.
September 22, 201510 yr We will be fine if Remy carries some form into this game. Costa vs Collcini ( spelling) would turn into a wrestle match, while Remy has more pace and movement to get behind their defence line. Nothing less than 3 points will be satisfactory here
September 22, 201510 yr feeling confident. i think JT sits this one out again. brana will 100% play. begovic brana zouma cahill dave fab matic pedro oscar hazard costa stick your mortgage on it 3-0 chelsea
September 22, 201510 yr A no better time to play Newcastle and break our hoodoo there. I'm hoping for a good result and who doesn't want to see the North East teams relegated? Let's go for 2-0.
September 23, 201510 yr They just lost to Wednesday at home. We have to beat these chumps. It's annoying because i can't get out of my head how it's now all been set up for them to play a blinder against us
September 23, 201510 yr In current form, Newcastle doesn't show any danger but against us they always playing good somehow. We can not be complacent for this game, we need to be at our best. COME ON CHELS!! I'd like to see this XI: Begovic Ivanovic Cahill Zouma Azpi RLC Matic Pedro Oscar Hazard Remy
September 23, 201510 yr Newcastle have been utter gash this season, no excuses not to beat them. Fully expecting a humiliating loss that kick starts their season now.
September 23, 201510 yr We need to start bright and full of energy. Show them right away this won't be another one of those games against us. Don't give them a chance.
