Pre-season games gave a very clear warning that the team did not work - burnt out players, dressing room politics, tactics, whatever - it was just a very uncomfortable viewing. Jose was annoyed at the lack of transfer activity, and rightly pointed out it was a dangerous gamble not to bring fresh high quality players. The gist of Jose's comments was that the club was not helpiing him by not making an extra effort in bringing in some earmarked players. As our season started sh*t and carried on being sh*t, I thought Jose in his stubborn way was showing the club "if you want me to cook a good omlette, give me good quality eggs". I still think that is the case and he does not want to bust his balls to mitigate the damage from somebody esle's misguided belief that we have a big enough squad with all rightly suited players. Obviously, this atmosphere even further affects the dressing room, and something has got to give. If Jose survives till transfer window, I suspect lots of people will go (players and maybe suits) and lots of money will be spent on new faces. I personally want Jose to stay and do well for all of us.

I do think that the loss of Courtois shouldn't be underestimated. As good as Begovic is as a back up he just isn't in the same class.Mikel was excellent when he came on as was Willian all match again.

I dont see any creativity in your game. The only player who could provide something is Hazard. Clearly Hazard is not in good shape. That leaves you with nothing.

Did Mourinho let De Bruyne go or was it another manager? Plus obviously he let Mata go.

Sometimes you can have too many 'hard working' players like Willian and need to sprinkle a team with flair and creativity.

We basically "scored twice" in the first half ... so the real damage was the Matic blunder and the ensuing collapse, which clearly rattled the players. It is one thing, we're playing poorly ... I can live with that (to an extent). But all the stupid drama that goes with it is unbearable. Jose/Chelsea act like a sh't-magnet at the moment, and it is making the situation worse.

We're like a vampire feeding of itself right now ...

I don't want Jose to go, I would happily squander this season mid-table to see him through and let him take long-term charge of Chelsea (if he can survive this, he can survive anything. But Chelsea ALWAYS go in self-destruct mode when we have a bad spell, and then everyone just holds their breath for Abrama to push the button. Not this time I hope, we're Chelsea FFS, we're better than this. God I wish the players/managers would show some defiance.

Opposition have figured out our 4-2-3-1 and Jose doesn't appear to have answers

This is a good point and something I was thinking about earlier. Does Mourinho ever start with a different system? Like a 4-4-2 diamond, or a 4-4-1-1? Something to mix it up a bit.

He seems to always play with exactly the same system.

The game tonight was a margin of errors. We should have cleared the corner leading to the opener, Cesc imo was marginally onside and Matic made a stupid challenge for his second yellow. Things definitely need to change but I don't think giving Jose the boot is the answer. January is going to be extremely important and we need the board to back Jose and make some key signings.

It's the fine margin thing that makes me believe we shouldn't panic. They had 5 attempts on target - we had 4. Until Carroll appeared and JT scuffed his clearance we looked really solid at the back. It's a load of bad luck but that's all. Where we do need to invest is in finding some attacking creativity. Hazard drives me crazy. Constantly checking back and playing square passes around the edge of the penalty area - his thinking seems slow his football is too safe for the talent he has.

Whether hes sacked or not, it's good to have an owner who won't put up with being sh*t for long, nor obe that's interested in syphoning money away from the club for themselves ! Temporary blip....

Terry, Willian and Azpi were great second half. We're not getting enough from Hazard and Costa. Played much better without Fabregas.

We need to hold on, we lost nothing yet.

Who the f**k writes this sh*te. Fabregas was offside, the ball didn't cross the line, Matic and probably Dave deserved second yellow cards, and we were the worse team on the day despite rallying for half an hour in the second half

Costa Diabolical, technically abysmal.

No width from FBs, which is ok away in CL as have more space. Needed them in 1st Half to stretch them. They just defended narrow and compact knowing we have no overlaps or out to in runs from wide.

Matic lucky he wasn't carded for the second time earlier. Didn't learn his lesson. Stupid.

As for JM, I'm not calling for his head but jesus I think even us Chelsea fans are getting fed up with his antics, let alone his tactics. Made our second sub on 82 mins, really?! Team with 10 men who all played in Ukraine tuesday.

Club is in the mire.

Don't we have Stoke away for the League Cup this Tuesday or Wednesday?

We better experiment for that game.  Hell... treat it like a friendly to give players that don't normally play a chance to prove themselves. Kenedy, Traore and Djilobodji for example.

Felt Cahill summed it up well in his interview.

This game summed up the first couple of months of our season.

First time I've commented negatively on Jose but this is a man that needs to prove his metal and see us out of this period.

It's not the end of the world, maybe this will be our least successful season of the Abrahmovic era, but we need to start showing signs that we can at least end it strong.

Alastair Campbell is alive and well I see.....

That is embarrassing, and not the first time this season either. We weren't beaten cruely at all, we were sh*t and made errors again.

Succeed to watch the second half and can't describe how disappointed I am.

How are we planning to win the game if we can see that Hazard and Costa don't offer enough? We had Traore on the bench, still haven't played. Zouma isn't RB, play Baba LB and Azpi RB, simple as that. Funny mistakes, we're looking bad and Jose continues to put the same players. I think this January is going to be crazy for us.

Sadly, I don't think we'll sign anyone who can add real quality to our team.

A combination of players' availability and some sloppiness.

What can he do? These guys are adults. If they choose to sulk and be undisciplined,

Where have I seen those traits before? oh yes, Jose actions this season.

'Time to draw a line in the sand. You dont perform, take a seat in the stands. I've got players waiting to take your spots.'

Those would be my only words come Monday. Someone has a few bad games, I dont care if their name is Hazard or Costa, they got to go. No excuses about being unlucky and or getting bad decisions, we're too far behind to place the blame on a few tough calls or bounces. If we're gonna lose lets at least do it with young players who can learn from it.

He doesn't have players waiting to take the spot though. We have a good first 11 and and pretty terrible subs bench. This is the weakest squad in the abramovich era

I think it's been 3 or 4 now. I'm clearly not being serious, yet I've been told I have to set myself on fire because of it. God forbid anyone expresses sentiment against the management in this place.

Jose has to be responsible for the team's current lack of form. It's beyond abysmal. We are the worst PL champions of all time.
