April 5, 201610 yr I enjoyed that, I was a bit annoyed over the Man City saga and still think it soured my thoughts about Frank but he is a true Blue Legend. Cheers Frank.
April 5, 201610 yr I regret the departure of many players, but I truly, truly miss the totally unique man and player that is Frank Lampard. Different level.
April 5, 201610 yr I realise this is somewhat of an echo chamber being a Chelsea forum, but I honestly would take him over any other CM of his generation, including Gerrard/Scholes/Xavi/Pirlo/Alonso/Fabregas etc. You won't find his obscene goal tally over more than a decade anywhere else whilst also boasting a brilliant passing range and the fitness to play what seemed like every game every season. Completely irreplaceable.
April 5, 201610 yr I see the title and genuinely thought mr lampard had been knighted. Then I realised he hadn't then I thought to myself why not? Not biased or anything. I would love him to come back as manager one day but I reckon he would be more suited to the board room hes smart as f**k.
April 6, 201610 yr Needs to be on the coaching team. No-one better to teach the youngsters about the hard work and committment they'll need to become the best.
April 6, 201610 yr Needs to be on the coaching team. No-one better to teach the youngsters about the hard work and committment they'll need to become the best. Especially when we have alot of talented young midfielders ... RLC, Baker, Pasalic, Musonda, Palmer, Swift, Van Ginkel, etc etc ... what a great mentor he would be for all of them !
April 6, 201610 yr Needs to be on the coaching team. No-one better to teach the youngsters about the hard work and committment they'll need to become the best. I've often thought he'd be a good choice as Technical Director or Director of Football simply because he knows the game from top to bottom, he knows what it takes to make it from promising youngster to world class midfielder, he knows this club and this league and he's a very smart guy. Whether he wants to do that when he could go into the media or just watch his portfolio grow in value is another question, but I'd definitely sound him out this summer.
April 6, 201610 yr Lampard's head on RLC's body would be an extraordinary player indeed. really? I get your point about the intelligence etc but lampard was one of the most physically fit footballers around and was great with both feet
April 6, 201610 yr Needs to be on the coaching team. No-one better to teach the youngsters about the hard work and committment they'll need to become the best. I would love him as a manager one day too but if he did he would just end up like all of our other great managers- gone within a couple of seasons and another club legend f**ked off. He doesn't need the money and neither the stress of management. His property portfolio is probably bigger than the argos catalogue. If he was given a job on the board it is more of a guarantee that he will be here longer,( just look at emenalo) and with lampard you can gaurantee he will also be turning up at cobham with insightful things to say to everyone.
April 7, 201610 yr really? I get your point about the intelligence etc but lampard was one of the most physically fit footballers around and was great with both feet Unless you're a West Ham fan, then he was fat as a house, then again they're not a very bright lot.
April 7, 201610 yr Unless you're a West Ham fan, then he was fat as a house, then again they're not a very bright lot. There's houses have wheels though, maybe that's why they got confused.
July 11, 201610 yr Supah Frank is absolutely killing here in the States. Supah Frank Lampard started the season injured, but since he has returned & scored his fourth goal in five games for New York City FC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_EqBEELOeI
July 11, 201610 yr Class is permanent and all that...... also Frank's performance in the MLS vs Slippery G's performance - true Slippery has played more, but I am sure as phuck Frank has scored more - this tackle happened a couple of weeks ago, but since the MLS panders to it's stars Slippery didn't get anything for this horrible tackle
July 12, 201610 yr Something West Scum know nothing about. most haters don't like Supa Frank - I was in a bar the other day & arguing w/ a Scouser lover on who is better, Supa or slippery - of course that scouser lover referred to Supa as Fat Frank - I replied...did you ever see slippery score in the Camp Nou? I saw Supa Frank do it & it was one of the most Glorious acts I have ever witnessed - just to refresh everyone's memory
July 31, 20169 yr Anyone see his Hatrick ? Bring him back I say, it is only the MLS but he is looking extremely fit again as well
July 31, 20169 yr Typical Frank goals, scruffy first, blinding 2nd, Thumoing Pen, never lose your class, just a tad slower now, Sir Frank take a bow son....
July 31, 20169 yr Lampard still making history. He will be forever known as the first player to ever score a hat-trick for New York.
July 31, 20169 yr Unless you're a West Ham fan, then he was fat as a house, then again they're not a very bright lot. Yes, Frank Lamplard they called him
July 31, 20169 yr Lampard still making history. He will be forever known as the first player to ever score a hat-trick for New York. That made me a little sick in my mouth.
August 4, 20169 yr most haters don't like Supa Frank - I was in a bar the other day & arguing w/ a Scouser lover on who is better, Supa or slippery - of course that scouser lover referred to Supa as Fat Frank - I replied...did you ever see slippery score in the Camp Nou? I saw Supa Frank do it & it was one of the most Glorious acts I have ever witnessed - just to refresh everyone's memory Picture the scene: The league leaders face a potentially tricky game against a side with little to play for except pride. A side who have shown the ability to beat anyone on their day, but not quite enough to be a top contender. The league leaders look to their inspirational players in their team to show leadership, a calm head and a touch of quality to get a vital win for their campaign. Scenario 1: Frank Lampard races through, rounds the keeper and slots home into an empty net sealing the league title for Chelsea in a potentially difficult game at the Reebok vs Big Sam's gritty Bolton side Scenario 2: Steve Gerrard slips trying to control a simple pass, gifts possession to Demba Ba who races through and puts a dagger into the heart of Gerrard and Rodgers' dreams of winning the Premier League. Big players rise to the occasion. QED: Lampard > Gerrard
