I laughed when the critics ( mainly Untied or Jose fans) claim Conte had it easy, all he had to do was allowing the title winning team 2 seasons ago play again. Let's not forget about the Arsenal game, he was odds on to be sacked, and most of us would settle for an Arsenal trophy for the reason. He just turned it around by doing whatever he has done ( I'm sure there's a long list of things). He's passionate on the field, but in front of the media he knows the boundary well, I have never seen him throwing his own player under the bus like some managers.

Even now, when people go on about great foreign manager's coming into this league Pep and Klopp are the ones they name as examples more often than not.

Antonio Conte wants to make changes to Chelsea’s transfer policy despite his side’s ten-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

The Chelsea head coach will demand a greater control of transfers, which are at present managed by the director Marina Granovskaia and technical director, Michael Emenalo, and insist on assembling a much bigger squad next season before signing the new contract, which the club want to give him in the summer.

Chelsea have only signed four players since Conte was appointed 12 months ago, and only one of those, N’Golo Kanté, was specifically requested by the manager, a point he is understood to have made forcibly in recent discussions with the club about transfer plans for next season.

The Italian is understood to have complained that Chelsea sold three experienced first-team players during the January transfer window in Oscar, Branislav Ivanovic and John Obi Mikel without recruiting any replacements. He has been astonished at his employers’ reply that they had been replaced by three returning loanees — Nathan Aké, Kenedy and Charly Musonda.

Aké, who was on loan with Bournemouth, and Kenedy, who was with Watford, have made two and one FA Cup appearances for Chelsea respectively this season, but Musonda has never played for the club having spent the first half of the campaign on loan at the Spanish side Real Betis.

Conte does not regard any of that trio as first-team players at present and is frustrated at what he perceives to be a lack of financial backing from the club, particularly compared to the transfer outlay of both Manchester clubs last summer.

The 47-year-old has been forced to rely on a core group of 13 players and has expressed concerns that despite their domestic dominance the existing squad will not be strong enough to compete on all fronts when they return to the Champions League next season.

Conte wants to sign at least four players this summer, including a right wing back, centre back, central midfielder and a striker, and will demand that substantive progress is made in those transfer negotiations before signing a new contract. His existing deal has two years to run, but Chelsea want to tie him down for longer as a result of his excellent start at Stamford Bridge in transforming a team that finished 10th last season into runaway leaders

it's silly. it seems conte wanted koulibaly, nainggolan and kante. he got one out of 3, but the board isn't going to pay over the odds for players. we saw koulibaly wasn't worth what napoli wanted and he wasn't going to leave, and nainggolan said he was happy at roma this season. kante was the only viable option.

Garbage

Trouble in paradise. We will need a few more players next season with the demand of more games. I think this season we have been fortunate with injuries and suspensions, maybe Conte could take some credits for them too. I could be wrong, but we played the same back 5+ GK in the league since the Arsenal game, the other 5 spots are rotated between 7 players. I think next year we won't have that luxury. So Conte is right, we need to sign a few more players, although I really don't see the point of a 50M central defender from Italy. 

That article is absolute garbage. Why would Conte be mad at Oscar who he rarely played being sold for 60m which would help him buy the players he want. Mikel probably didn't play a single game under Conte and yet we're supposed to believe that he's mad that he was sold? 

As for Ake, yes it's a shame he's not playing but it's pretty obvious Conte rates him and sees him as a big part of his future.

Good thing I'll be traveling a lot this summer so no forum for me. With no summer tournament and bored minds this place will be hell.
