April 8, 201610 yr He wants to sign Marcelo, Robben and Griezmann for Arsenal, HA. I think we've found out who's been running their transfer dealings
April 8, 201610 yr very happy with the appointment of Conte, but providing he has a sucessful euros with Italy, he wont actually take charge of the squad until a month before the league kicks off if I'm right in thinking? If he really is to change the way we play and what not, that doesnt really leave us much time to start learning. As next season we will need to be good from the get-go, if we want to stake our claim as the premier leagues best. Do we know who will be in charge of the squad in the mean time from when Hiddink leaves?
April 8, 201610 yr yes he was arsenal, here he is at top of the page. his avatar is the same as the one here. sad prick. http://arsenal-mania.com/forum/threads/the-wish-list.3289/page-921 apparently arsenal were interested in the same guy we are, that manolas, so was looking to see if there's any news on the arsenal forum about him and up popped the chamakh troll. He's clearly trolling them as well though. Wants to sign Neymar, Marcelo and Robben and sell Sanchez (although I accept that is arguably within standard Arsenal delusions). Plus he's a new member. Needs to get a life. Edited April 8, 201610 yr by RichardCFC
April 8, 201610 yr Some absolute clown on there wants them to sell Ozil, Cazorla, Koscielny, Sanchez and Cech, and sign Griezmann, David Luiz and Robben, the latter of whom he thinks should play at centre mid. Incidentally, how on earth is Chamakh 32? Seemingly he's currently a victim of Pardew's awful indecision regarding strikers - they have six in the first-team squad yet he still insists on playing Bolasie there (despite his goalscoring record being less than 1 in 10).

April 8, 201610 yr How old will Hiddink be if we decide to fire Conte in 1-2 years? Not saying Conte will be terrible but I have zero trust in our board if things aren't going our way. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk Hiddink turns 70 in November. Ferguson retired at 73, suggesting that's an upper limit for managers. It might be different for interim managers though. I get the feeling that even Ferguson could go back for half a season as coach (not manager) now. With Chelsea switching to coaches instead of managers à la Spurs, finding an interim may be easier. Perhaps even Steve Holland could coach for a few months.
April 8, 201610 yr Hiddink will be staying in charge until the day Conte takes over i read I really hope so. There won't be many players at the ground anyway, but I hope Conte is able to do some of the work we need doing before he leaves Italy. We can't have another repeat of last summer and some of the key players involved in that are still around.

We can't have another repeat of last summer and some of the key players involved in that are still around. You would imagine if they came back overweight like last time Conte would just boot them into touch with his disciplined approach to training and dieting. You should really be able to trust your players not to go over the top once the season ends especially to the extent Hazard and Costa went last summer.
April 8, 201610 yr By the way, as I saw described with Ranueri in Italy, there is a lot of variation between clubs in terms of how much a coach is like a manager, but commonly it goes like this in Italy. The coach gives the director a description of a player they'd like, and the director communicates with the scouts, other clubs, and agents. The director presents some options to the coach for feedback. Then the director tries to work out a deal. Sometimes the coach will mention specific names, and the director will contact that player's agent. The coach knows generally what the budget is and how much the transfer would be, but the coach doesn't have to deal with agents and other chairmen and doesn't have to crunch the numbers. Coaches vary in how much they want to be involved and how much they are allowed. In theory it's a good system because the two roles require different skill sets, it saves the coaches a lot of time and distraction. On the flip side, you run the risk of an incompetent director, but then again managers can be pretty incompetent with transfers too. You also run the risk of directors not listening to the coaches, and there have been cases of coaches quitting because they got a bunch of players they didn't want our know how to use.

Why isn't it written into their contracts that they must arrive at pre-season with a body fat of below __, able to run 1500m in a certain time, etc?
April 8, 201610 yr I've become very fond of Guus and am a little reserved with regards to Conte, time will tell of course.
April 8, 201610 yr I personally believe that the board showed great patience in the Mourinho sacking-A few seasons earlier he would have been out the door after 5 matches
April 8, 201610 yr Author Looks like Conte has just made Radja Nainggolan is first signing. Great player, will add steel that has been missing from our midfield.

It wasn't like AVB where he has won nothing for us. Would you cut away Lampard or Terry if they had a terrible season?Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
April 8, 201610 yr Matic's dribbling this season left me horrified. Bambi on roller skates would have more control. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk Sounds like you sent that message from a Motorbike. Good job.
