obviously need a striker to fit his system, Morata would fit the bill but I think Llorente would be an excellent signing, been lethal for Juventus and Sevilla, fairly cheap and a name Conte can trust. Vidal to marshall the midfield as a dream signing, plus the wing backs are sorted with Cuadrado and Victor Moses coming back from loan (Willian could play LWB but think Moses has more to offer defensively, need that mug Azpilicueta out the club). Terry will probably stay but Conte will want another option with experience in the prem, think Scott Dann would be perfect (English, solid season + cheap, could do what Cahill's done for us). sell Hazard/Pedro/Loftus-Cheek to raise funds

Vidal is no longer the top player he used to be so i wont be overexcited about him coming here. But i like Naingollan, he is like Fabregas but can defend.

Vidal is still an excellent player, as is Nainggolan. Either one of them would be exactly what we need in midfield but I think we also have players who can provide that dynamism we need at both ends of the pitch at the club already.

 

Matic could have something of a renaissance if he can be motivated and isn't restricted to being a holding midfielder, whilst I think Van Ginkel has everything needed to be a top box-to-box player. I'd like to see both given a chance whilst limited players like Mikel are shipped out.

I think the issue is that he's neither one or the other. IMO he should be left in the holding role, protecting the defence. When used a both (or neither depending on your view) has made him underwhelming this season.

If we set up in a 433 next season he could easily be the holding MF in a midfield 3

I don't know if Conte will use a holding midfielder here though. Matic has had a bad season but I think he deserves another shot so long as there's no massive offers coming in for him.

 

He's not the most useless player I've seen going forward and he pops up with the odd goal too. I think he's got a dynamism about him that Conte might like.

Matic's dribbling this season left me horrified. Bambi on roller skates would have more control.

to be a top defensive mid you have to have great positioning and reading of the game, matic just seems lost in regards to this at the moment. if it's a blip, great, if not then i don't see where he'll fit in.
