Spot on, for all we know certain players might of got injured in certain games Guus played them but Mourinho didn't. It could go on for ever.

If we won every game from now until the end of the season we would get top 4, so it is possible.

 

That won't realistically happen though.

 

The real shame is that if we had just 6 more points, I would say we would do it.

 

That's us winning at home to Bournemouth and Southampton....

Am not making up anything. My point is based on fact. Look back to the last time Guss was here and right now, we are always had to beat for any team. If you think the team being consistent under Guss is accidental then I don't know what else to say!

Mathematically possible...realistically not.  Just too much ground to cover.  EL is our best bet as far as the league is concerned

You are making it up and it's not based on fact is it. Both times Guss has been here are different teams and different situations.

Then you can't take the games Guss has managed then put it across a season because it benefits how you want it to be. Players could of got banned when they didn't before, certain players could of missed 3 months of the season when they havnt.

We might aswell say Steve Holland would of one the league based on 1 game.

It could be done.If Man City are still in the title race, and they're 10 points off (7 if they win with a game in hand), then we should still be in top 4 contention.

United are bound to have another dip. City can't be f**ked. Leicster could f**k it up.

It's not the points difference that's the issue, it's the number of teams above us we need to slip up. Happy to see it happen but I think 6th is a realistic target.

Some feel Mourinho's decisions to not rotate and letting players like Bertrand, Mata, Lukaku etc have been damaging to the club aswell so it's swings and roundabouts. Top 4 and an FA Cup in my eyes is a pretty decent season anyway even without how sh*t we've been.

City win, West Ham win, we draw, another 2 points dropped.

We drop points for nothing.

Any slim hopes we had are gone but tbh I didn't think we'd get fourth anyway.

This season really does feel like a missed opportunity, I think we were all expecting it to be a tougher season and most of us thought City would be hungry again. Instead it's been a massive cluster f**k of a season. That hungry team last season would be dominating again this season, such a shame.

I was a life long season ticket holder until recently, if I was still a season ticket holder I would be really f**ked off if the club, team, manager threw the towel in now. There is just under a third of the season left.

Don't believe the media hype about throwing the title and must win games etc etc teams have closed 9 point deficits from here. It's not like bottom of the table where teams can't buy a win

Too many draws, after yesterday no chance.

Top 4 would be on easily had we been a bit more efficient and aggressive in those drawn games. Looking back at 2 games against Watford, 2 games against the clueless United, home against WBA, could have easily gone 4-6 points more. We aren't a top 4 team, that's the bottom line.

In a way I'm relieved that the top 4 is unrealistic even from a very optimistic perspective. I would have been upset if we had sacrificed giving young players game experience in order to chase that lottery-odds possibility.
