January 4, 201610 yr deary me....you wade into this thread in an attempt to correct g4 when, first, no correction was required and, secondly, by doing so you only show your ignorance (there being no EPL in '55). Moreover, in so doing you not only derail the thread but when brought to account you don't admit you were wrong in the first place and, after which, you add more sterile posts and then remark on some sort of agenda against you. And, of course, you do it repeatedly & this is what makes you so tiresome - do you not realize any of this?Hahaha. I knew you wouldn't let your name get mentioned in vain. Sigh, I guess I brought it upon myself. Happy new year mate.
January 4, 201610 yr Problems started as early as pre-season. The season before we brought early and had the transfers sorted. Last summer Mourinho spent pre-season asking for signings and all we got was last min deals and no one who can make the first team better. Champions always have to improve, Chelsea never did that. Then the Eva incident and it was downhill from there.
January 4, 201610 yr Do I miss Jose? If I say no I'll get slagged off & called all sorts from some quarters. Anyway, No I don't miss him. I don't miss his embarrassing behaviour, his awful football style or his boasts about how fantastic he is . But, having said that I didn't want him sacked. I just wanted the " happy one" back.
January 4, 201610 yr This thread is at 4 pages and an overwhelming no from most and no one has been slagged off or called all sorts.
January 4, 201610 yr Well if those people are Dkw, Yourself, Youlots then I won't lose sleep because I can say with conviction that I never insulted any of you first. And I was being sarcastic with my response to dkw. oh that makes it ok then doesn't it?
January 4, 201610 yr Ramon Calderon: "I wish Zidane all the best but I'm sure it's going to be very difficult. He is not the one that the President wanted." "He was trying to sign Mourinho and he didn't want Zidane. That is the truth. I don't know if he will be successful but if he is not, Mourinho will be on the bench in June."
January 4, 201610 yr oh that makes it ok then doesn't it?Let it go mate. Enough over-reaction, I hate being a keyboard warrior. No offence intended, sorry if you took offence. Dkw also. Edited January 4, 201610 yr by lesblues

January 5, 201610 yr Why would Jose humiliate himself and come back again after being sacked twice. In fact I think AVB is much more likely to be rehired than Mourinho ever coming back.
January 5, 201610 yr I miss him badly. He will always be a star in my estimation. Mourinho was 'Our' manager, a perfect fit. Think that seemed the case at one point but this season he was far from being the "perfect fit". As G4 rightly says, after he left first time around it did feel wrong and there was unfinished business but not this time. For whatever reason, it all turned very sour and there is no point now in looking back at what might have been. Edited January 5, 201610 yr by Nibs
January 5, 201610 yr No, I don't miss him. I'm thankful for what he did, but this wasn't the same Jose as first time around. He made everything a drama and was just so abrasive. Onwards and upwards with the future.
January 5, 201610 yr It will be interesting to see Jose's take on what went wrong, whether he accepts he made mistakes and if he has reasons behind it. I expect it will be a few years before we get to know, it may be personal or it might just be that he had never been in the situation where he lost control before and had no way if correcting it. I was one who was very wary of his return, but at the time was more than happy to see him return hoping beyond hope that all would go well and his legacy wouldn't be tainted. It would , guess we will have to wait for the book. Publicly I doubt he will ever admit he made any mistakes but that is his way ..........this year I doubt he will reflect and learn from it or find any fault in his management . Maybe in 5 years time when he is manager of Portugal he might be more objective and reflective . Of our two recent managers I hope Carlo and JM provide guidance and mentorship to JT and Frank who are both destined for top flight management ... just a shame we can't have them both here at the same time.
January 5, 201610 yr I don't miss Jose the manager...but I do miss Jose the man. Edited January 5, 201610 yr by CFC-Forever
January 5, 201610 yr I don't miss Jose the manager...but I do miss Jose the man. Sums it up perfectly. Especially when he was the Happy One. Looking back on some of his press conferences from the first time round, I really, really miss that incarnation of him.
January 5, 201610 yr Ramon Calderon: Pot-stirring former pot-stirring president who is trying to save face after assuring everyone that Mourinho would be the next Real Madrid manager after Benitez.

And, of course, you do it repeatedly & this is what makes you so tiresome - do you not realize any of this? Oh Les, you silly sausage!! You were trying to correct G3.7? (The artist formerly known as G4) Don't you know his scything articulacy is on a par with Lord Loz's... By the same token, of course, youlots, if ever there was a man who did not need anyone to leap to his defence, that man is G3.7 ( he who ate one pi, then started on another). However, youlots, should Les have a wee stooshie with me, I expect you to draw your trusty sword from its scabbard in my defence.
January 6, 201610 yr I don't think he'll be back, that early. I actually have a sneaking suspicion that he just may come back in a few years. He'll never settle anywhere, but he'll always win. And winners will always be saught after. Then, we put up with success, his antics, his eventual falling out, and then rinse an repeat? Edited January 6, 201610 yr by mad_mac
January 6, 201610 yr Oh, he'll be back...but not this soon, lol (it would be kinda crazy). I think he'll come back to the Bridge in around 10 to 15 years from now (probably his last port of call before retirement).
January 6, 201610 yr Don't get me wrong I'd love to see him back (but then I didn't want him to go in the first place) but I'm not sure he'd come back as long as the structure of the club remains the same. I suspect there was a big fall out about player recruitment over the summer, similar to the fall out in his first spell, and he got massively undermined which led to the tetchy grumpy Jose we saw this season. Given that now he's gone and our transfer targets seem to be fairly similar to what they were before, I suspect he had a lot less say this season in comings and goings as we think. Tl:Dr - not as long as Emalano is still at the club.
January 6, 201610 yr Never say Never. But it's Never Gonna Happen. Maybe it'll happen when Roman gets bored, gives the club away for free to some hobo and we free fall into immediate relegation after relegation...... I keep hearing thats going to happen too.
January 6, 201610 yr Not gonna happen unfortunately. More likely Roman is probably seriously contemplating the return of a certain chubby mediterrean waiter who has recently, but not surprisingly, become available ....... Again.
