Agreed, Id love to have Pogba here but that amount is way too high. I just worry this will become the new norm and keep driving up a players fee. Honestly I thought it was kinda crazy last year when we were linked with all these £70m bids for him because its just such a huge sum on a single player who may not even adapt that great to the premier league, I mean he left really young and the speed and physicality of the prem is hard to adjust to.

I'd take Bale even tho I think he's kinda a prick and played for spuds but he has proven himself in this league and is still at his best.

Ya citeh's spending in the last 7 years is crazy, I just find it funny and a little annoying that the media don't go after them like they did us back in 04/05, or any time they've accused us of "buying the league" which is nonsense as we've seen.

What is your opinion on Pogba's transfer value? I haven't seen him play much, not sure I've seen him at all at Juventus.

He has the potential & has flair - also Pogba can be marketable, but for £110 million pounds? That is insane

over 100mil for a player that gets backheel nutmegged by mikel

You could buy 3 very quality players for £110m, you could get 2 world class players at that much maybe some exceptions but that's just a lot of $$$.

That is exactly what Juve were thinking - also to help payoff the Higuain transfer

It was a complete dick move by Jose, he's embarrassed the bloke. Mata came across as an absolute gentleman during his time here and to think Jose has done this twice to him doesn't sit well with me, I hope Juan leaves soon so he can go somewhere he's respected and treated the way he deserves to be.

It can't be good for team morale. Mourinho has his favourites and players outside of his favourites don't seem to get treated as well as them. We seen it in the last two season's here at Chelsea. In 2014-15, it was Schurrle, in 2015-16, it was Loftus-Cheek. It seemed like everything these two players did was never good enough for Mourinho. If Schurrle had one average game, Mourinho would leave him out for weeks and when Loftus-Cheek was going on to be our man of the match against Villa, Mourinho subbed him at half time and then he didn't get any real playing time for nearly 3 months. Then you have players like Ivanovic who can play really poor for a whole season and still keep his place.

Unless you are inside Mourinho's circle of favourites, it's hard to get a lot of game time.

With good enough scouting, you could probably buy a team capable of challenging for the top 4 with that money.

So the consensus is that they're overpaying for him.

I'm trying to get a sense of his qualitative value as a player as I've seen him play so little.

Who would you say is comparable?

How would you rate him relative to other players? (ie better than ____ but not as good as ___)

How would you rate him relative to other players? (ie better than ____ but not as good as ___)

In terms of his ability to influence the outcome of a game I think he's up there with Zidane personally. Still a crap Ramires though...

Zida..no way. He is more Yaya Toure, a luxury player.

What baffles me about the signing is how it has driven up the market. Palace have rejected a £18m bid for Bolasie & want £30m. For Bolasie..?

UTD now have 4 players (5 if you include Fellaini) who are most suited to that role just behind Zlatan. Rooney, Mata, Mhkitaryan & Pogba. Can't figure out how that will work, and I just don't think Pogba behind Zlatan will work well.

Maybe singing a different tune if we signed him, but I have seen little of Pogba that justifies that price tag...words will probably come back to haunt me, but his signing doesn't bother me at all...if Utd had signed a Ronaldo, bale type player I'd be far more concerned...also, we have often been accused by fans of other clubs, Utd included, of buying the title...well Utd supporters, if they win, are in no position to judge...

for 100M you'd expect a player to score 20+ goals a season with 15 assists, will Pogba do that? I doubt it. Sure he's only 23 and got 10 years ahead of him, but for that much money I don't think fans will wait patiently. I think we are better off spending 100M on 3-4 players to strengthen the whole team, so far we spent 60+ to get 2 good players, let's hope we get 2 good defenders soon. The media will hate us if we break the world record for a player

Probably because City's spending is a direct result of what the league/football has become and not something out the norm like it was for United back in the day and us.

Really annoying United bought Pogba just like that. After we messed around for three years trying to get him they get their and Mourinhos man in a month

It looks like you haven't follow that transfer saga at all. And we only really tried last summer to which a united official probably told Juventus to hold off for a year and they can fleece united for him.

It's like being upset we didn't get sterling because city bought him. Ignore the ridiculous money spent, they got their man and we didn't I guess

His reported wages are insane though, I'd imagine a few players at United will be after a wage rise when Pogba comes in on just shy of £300k a week.

Regardless we couldn't afford him.

I am not convinced on him for the money spent, at the Euros he looked pretty average.

All the pressure will be on him and Jose for throwing money around, and he will get clattered, just like Hazard.
