I actually agree with you... we've been average at best the entire season. First couple of games looked promising, then it all went downhill. The only good game we've played lately was when we met you. The game today was awful and our inability to kill games just isn't there...

I've got a ticket for the final and I thought I'd have to go see Celta vs Ajax... luckily for me I don't have to see that bald f*ck Guidetti run around thinking he is something special.

Manchester United are so much less than the sum of the parts this season, whereas we are the exact opposite. The difference is good management.

They are nevertheless going to luck into two trophies, the League Cup because none of the other top teams could be bothered to field anything other than youth or reserves, and the Europa because the quality of teams in it this year is very low. Celta Viga 12th in La Liga currently ... and they really should have got through at the end there ! Ajax are probably a better footballing team, but will find a way to bottle it in the Final.

Mourinho is so negative and sour in this current job that I actually wonder if his "succcessful 2nd season" is this season, and his third season implosion is actually going to come a season early :-)

33% possession tonight for United.

Good to see that Jose has fully embraced the "United Way"

No doubt redcafe will be abuzz about grinding out results and getting the job done.

Fair play fella, at the end of the day winning the game is the most important thing and you're doing that (in the EL anyway). However the football you've played bar the game against us has been pretty sh*te to watch.

The excuse that JM doesn't have his players doesn't fly with me though, he's spent over 200m on players and the squad team itself must be worth over 400m?

If he can't coach a squad of that price to better than 6th in the league then I hate to say it but he can't be that great a coach. I don't want to draw parallels because it's early days, but Conte inherited a squad that finished 10th (admittedly underperforming, but I would argue so is that United squad this year) and signed Alonso & Kante for what? Circa 60m maybe and taken them to the cusp of champions again.

For all the talk of the 'United Way' there won't be such a thing with Jose in charge, in big games he'll revert to type and play defensive/counter attacking football.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the final whatever happens!

Paul Merson's predictions really are baffling at times, he's predicted for us to draw 1-1 with West Brom yet he's predicted an easy win for Arsenal away to Stoke. Now while I don't necessarily disagree that those results could happen he hasn't factored in a few things. Arsenal have a poor record are Stoke and he's basing it off Stoke's form yet he doesn't do the same with ours with West Brom in poor form. Sometimes I just don't understand reasons for his choices.

Next season I plan on making a Merse prediction league table - just to see how wrong he does get it.

I don't think it's his actual score predictions that bother me. It's his reasoning sometimes, he could literally say he just has a feeling and that would be fine. But he contradicts himself talking about the poor form of one club over the other etc.

According to Klopp we've been incredibly lucky to be on the verge of winning the league and the 2 games against them prove that, maybe if he stopped running his players into the ground every game he might not have to deal with the injuries he has encountered this season.

To think I once thought he would be a good manager for us because of his achievements at Dortmund. Obviously being under the influence of Liverpool has made him delusional...

My hopes for our rivals are as follows

Man utd to win the Europa league - and for Jose to attempt to convince their fans that it was a good season

Liverpool to miss out on a champions League spot even though we all know "theres nothing quite like a european night at Anfield."

citeh and Arsenal to do enough to push Liverpool down to fifth or even sixth place to facilitate this

Tottenham to receive an award presented by Jermaine Jenas for most possession and corners in a season

oh and Arsenal to receive runners up medals in a fortnight

They are already convinced. I want uited to lose and then for Jose to try and convince them of having a good season.

Also, Lpool for CL spot and f**k arsenal.
